Hello there. Happy Easter Monday. Today I am popping by to share something FUN with you all.
I saw this fun idea online by the lovely Danielle Kassing and I had a couple of kid’s birthday parties coming up for BOYS – I am the Mum to a 7 year old boy and what are they all obsessed with? – video games! So this was perfect!
I take no credit for the design. I suggest you pop over to Danielle’s blog and check it out.
Here is the link to her exact blog post.
Here’s a look at the original card….
(p.s. – she also has a video showing how it all comes together)

Onto the card that I made…

Here’s a look at my finished card.
I didn’t have all the supplies at Danielle used so I changed up mine a little.
For example I didn’t have the dies that she used for the ‘buttons’ on her remote so I have just used some stamps from the “Make a Difference” stamp set and some love heart stamps that I found from another set in my stash. Those dies above do look super cool though!
I also added the fun sentiment from the Zany Zebras which I have heat embossed in white on Basic Black cardstock. Adds such a fun ‘POP!’.
The Matte Black dots were also a fun addition to the front circles on the controller.
No idea what those buttons are called. Can you tell I zone out when my son starts talking to me about gaming?

Here’s a close up looking at the finished remotes. You can see all the fun details.
These went down a hit with the boys at the party and they just loved them!

Here’s a look at the back of the remote which is actually a little box that you can pop a little gift note or card in. I found it to be too small for an actual gift card – but you could definitely add some money – I chose to add a little note – and then this does fit into one of our C6 sized envelopes so I popped a gift card inside – and it went down a hit with the kids at the party!
You can see all the supplies I have used listed below.
Such a fun project and thank you so much Danielle for inspiring me!
