Hello gorgeous people and happy Monday! Wishing you all a glorious week wherever you are!
Today I am popping in to share a super fun card with you all that I made for my gorgeous cousin, Harrison.
This card features lots of products that are from our Mini Catalogue that are current until June, or are carrying over to our new Annual Catalogue, however the gorgeous Whale of a Time Designer Series Paper that I have used is only available today and retires tomorrow – so I thought I should pop on today and share this fun card!
I just fell in love with this gorgeous Shark Frenzy bundle.
I look at this bundle and just want to sing the Baby Shark song – I am sure you all want to groan when I say that!
I hope that you get some inspiration from today’s card share.
Be sure to check the bottom of this post for a full list of the products I have used, all of which are available in my store.
Here’s a look at the finished card.
I have used the included scallop die from the Shark bundle to create ‘waves’ which I have cut from the Whale of a Time Designer Series Paper which made the ‘base’ for my card.
I then used our fabulous Blending Brushes to create a background which I have used Shimmery White Cardstock for and used; Bermuda Bay, Coastal Cabana and Mango Melody to get my background that I wanted. The Blending Brushes are such a great way to smoothly add colour. I find that when I add colour with my brushes, the effect changes and softens for a beautiful blend when you let this ‘sit’ for a few minutes.
I then stamped my sharks in a mixture of Pacific Point, Coastal Cabana, Bermuda Bay and Basic Grey and used the coordinating dies to cut these out.
I have die cut some of the sea vines in Granny Apple Green and some ‘bubbles’ in Basic White.
Here is a close up look at the finished card.
I have used a Whisper White Ink Refill and a Water Painter to ‘splatter’ some ink across my card to create a ‘ink splot’ look. I find adding just a tiny touch of water to the Whisper White ink refill on an acrylic block is enough to thin it down enough to be able to pick it up with a Water Painter so that you can splatter it over a card.
I have then adhered all my pieces to the card with a mixture of Liquid Glue and Stampin’ Dimensionals. I have embellished with some of the white twine from the Snail Mail Twine Combo Pack. I added texture to this by doubling it and tying knots on either end.
I have added some of the Playing with Patterns Resin Dots to embellish the cards, and added some Wink of Stella for some sparkle and shine!
Here’s a look at the inside of the card which I kept simple with layers of Basic Black and Basic White with a strip of the Whale of a Time Designer Series Paper and some stamping in Pacific Point and Coastal Cabana.
I also added a small strip of the white twine for added texture.
I hope that you enjoyed this fun and funky card for something a little bit different today.
I really enjoyed having a fun time making a kids (or big kids) card and this bundle is so much fun to play with!
Be sure to check below for a full products list, where you can find them all in my store.
Big crafty hugs. xx
