I am really excited to be sharing this post with you today as this weekend I am so blessed and delighted to be attending the Stampin’ Up! BackStage @ Home conference which is a conference for leaders in Stampin’ Up! to gather, connect, learn and be inspired/inspire in our businesses.
I am so blessed to have this opportunity and part of this conference we were gifted these swag boxes from Stampin’ Up! I was so excited to receive one in the mail and I am finally allowed to share the contents – see the bottom of this post if you want to see what was inside (or check out the video if you want to see me open it live).
I can’t wait to learn a load of new things this weekend and be inspired to bring back and share even more passionately my love of this amazing company and hobby that I so love to share with others!

I was really inspired last night by one of my lovely upline’s Kylie Bertucci who did a late night Instagram (you can check out her Instagram here) Live sharing how she used one of our masks, some watercolour pencils and a Wink of Stella to create a card that was inspired by the BackStage box.
I decided to take my own spin on it and use one of the new masks from the Mini Catalogue with the striped pattern and bring out the texture paste – yep I got MESSY!
I went live and made this card on my Facebook Page today so you can see the full video recording of how to make it here…

Here’s a look at the finished card.
I just love the colours that Stampin’ Up! chose for the BackStage @ Home branding and what an adorable colour combination they make!
I must admit that I don’t gravitate towards Crushed Curry enough and I just love how the punched flowers look from the Flowers of Friendship bundle with the fun colour.
I really wanted to use this bundle because I was drawn to the sentiment. When I was thinking about the idea of a card inspired by BackStage @ Home, I wanted to capture friendship and community – the two things that I treasure most about Stampin’ Up! This sentiment really sung that for me.
I combined this with some bold items like the Red Velvet Paper from the Mini Catalogue. Who doesn’t love a bit of texture – and who says that just has to be used for Christmas?
I have also used the Matte Black Dots for a dramatic look in the flower centres and some of the Basic Black Baker’s Twine from the essentials pack.

Here’s a close up of the finished card where you can see a glimpse of just some of the texture that the fun texture paste leaves.
It is a bit of a fussy technique but so much fun to do!
Think of all the bold colour combinations you could come up with!

Here’s a look at the inside of my card which I kept simple with some stamped flowers coloured with coordinating Stampin’ Blends in Bermuda Bay, Daffodil Delight (as we don’t have a Crushed Curry Blend) and some Poppy Parade.
I added some Red Velvet Paper and some more twine.
What a fun card to make and that captures my excitement and joy of BackStage.
Thank you so much to Kylie Bertucci for inspiring me to make a card inspired by this wonderful event!
Here’s a fun look at just what was inside that box.
What a fun box of goodies we received. I can’t wait to dig in and start the weekend with this amazing swag!
