Hey everyone and welcome back to my blog for another GDP challenge. I love when this time of the week rolls around and I can share another great challenge with you!
This week is one of my favourites. The colour challenges are so much fun for playing with colour combinations that you wouldn’t usually gravitate towards!
Confession: I have never liked Garden Green! This week’s challenge however made me like the richness and depth of it!
That’s why I love a good challenge!
Be sure to pop by the blog this week to check out the challenge and have a go for yourself!

Here’s a look at this week’s challenge. Such a fun colour combo of Mint Macaron, Garden Green and Balmy Blue. I would never have thought of combining those colours together!

Here’s a look at my finished card! I decided to pull out the Tasteful Touches Stamp Set. This is actually a favourite of mine. I am not exactly sure why. I think the mixture of the font and those gorgeous feathers had me in love with this stamp set from the start!
I decided to do an old fave of mine which is making my own designer ‘paper’ by making some stripes! I have used some Fluid 100 Watercolour paper and my trusty Water Painters and added some stripes over my background using Garden Green and Mint Macaron Inks.
I created some texture by splattering some water (as they are water based inks, this adds a fun effect) and then splatters of Wink of Stella!

Here’s a close up look at the finished card. I stamped that beautiful flower from the Tasteful Touches Stamp and coloured it with my Balmy Blue and Mint Macaron Stampin’ Blends. I love the depth that combining those two colours gives that flower!
I added some feathers which I have stamped in Versamark on Vellum and heat embossed in silver.
The final touches were some Expressions in Ink Ephemera for a touch of gold, some Linen Thread and some Brushed Metallic Adhesive Dots!
I love the combo of these products & colours.

I added some more stamping in Mint Macaron and a sentiment in black to the outside and I had a little bit of the striped watercolour background left, so continued this on the inside of the card!
I had so much fun playing along with this week’s challenge.
Be sure to pop by & play along yourself!
