Stampin’ Up! Tasteful Touches ~ Good Things in Life

Hello lovely people.

It’s a happy crafty day here and the first day of my days off! It’s my long weekend and I am keen for some crafty time!

Today I am excited to share with you a new card using the beautiful Tasteful Touches Bundle which is just a gorgeous new bundle that will be available in the Annual Catalogue on the 3rd of June!

I was really inspired to have a play with some tone on tone techniques and give one of my favourite colours—-Crumb Cake a whirl!

I love the vintage appeal that it gives to this card, especially with that gorgeous flower.

Here’s a little look at the finished card.

I have used a card base of Basic Black as that really helped my layers of Crumb to ‘Pop!’

I have then used a fun technique that I haven’t done in a long time to get these fun ’embossed water splats’ on my Crumb Cake background.

This technique is actually quite easy! All your need is an Aqua Painter filled with some water, and them simply squeeze a little water out and use the lid to ‘tap’ the Aqua Painter against, so that some drops ‘splat’ out onto the Crumb Cake.

Before this water dries, use your Gold Emboss Powder to sprinkle of these splats and then heat emboss.

Wha la! You’ve got heat embossed water splats! You can add as many or as little as you like!

I have then stamped my flower image with Memento Black and coloured this with a fun combination of Mint Macaron and So Saffron Stampin’ Blends and then added some Clear Wink of Stella.

Here’s a close up of the finished card.

I have die cut one of the labels from the coordinating dies and stamped one of the gorgeous sentiment onto this in Memento Black. I just love the sentiments in this stamp set – they are so versatile and beautiful!]

I have then added some layers of the Very Vanilla Scalloped Lace Trim for some texture, and added my stamped label on top with some Stampin’ Dimensionals.

Before adding my flower down I have added some of the Forever Greenery Gold Trim, I used some adhesive to help hold my trim in place before adhering the flower with a double layer of Stampin’ Dimensionals.

I have further embellished with some of the In Good Taste Elements and some Champagne Rhinestones.

Here’s a look at the decorated inside of my card with some simple layers of Crumb Cake and Whisper White. I have then added the same flower to replicate the flower on the card front and coloured with the same Stampin’ Blends.

I also added another sentiment from the Tasteful Touches Stamp Set in Memento Black.
