Hey lovely crafty friends! 💕
I’m so excited to share another project from the October 2025 Online Stamping Retreat — this time, it’s the Standing Surprise Pop Up Card! This incredible design was taught by the talented Bruno Bertucci, and honestly… it’s one of those cards that makes you go “WOW” when it opens up!

I had the best time creating my own version of this interactive design using the Loveliest Tree Bundle and the Gathering Together Specialty Designer Series Paper — with a few older favourites mixed in too (the now-retired In the Grove and Grassy Grove bundles).

One of my favourite things about this project was giving new life to products already in my stash. It’s so easy to get caught up in the excitement of brand-new releases (and let’s be real, Stampin’ Up! keeps making that very easy for us 😅), but there’s something really satisfying about pulling out older favourites and combining them with fresh, current products.

The Loveliest Tree Bundle paired perfectly with those older forest elements — like they were meant to be together. The detail on the trees, the little woodland animals, and the warm earthy tones all came together to create a gorgeous autumn scene.

I built the inside of my card to look like a cozy forest glade — complete with trees, acorns, and even a sweet little deer tucked amongst the leaves. The Gathering Together Specialty DSP added just the right rustic touch to tie everything together.

The Magic of the Pop-Up

Now let’s talk about that pop-up moment!
When you open this card, the inside stands up and reveals a stunning 3D scene that’s full of depth and dimension. It’s the kind of card that makes people ask, “Wait… how did you do that?!” — which is my favourite kind to give!

This project was the perfect reminder that interactive cards don’t have to be intimidating — especially when you learn from amazing teachers like Bruno and Kylie at the Online Stamping Retreats.

It’s equal parts earthy and elegant, cozy and clever.
It’s the kind of design that really encourages you to play with your supplies, experiment with colour, and use what you already have. That’s something I think we could all do a little more of — shopping your stash and rediscovering your older favourites can spark so much creativity!

You might be wondering also – where do I write? I did forget to photograph it bust I have added a blank white panel to the back of the card with plenty of room to leave a message.
