It’s been a crazy week – and in recovery mode from being away in Brisbane last week for the Stampin’ Up! Onstage conference. So my weekly post is a little different this week as I decided to share a pre-recorded video and card that I showed a sneak peek of last week using the Stampin’ Up! Textured Notes bundle.
I still wanted to come and provide some content but I didn’t have it in me to share a live this week. Chronic back pain & migraines have hit me hard this week – always a risk when I am away and outside my normal routine. So I have been doing lots of resting, sleeping and getting annoyed at my body for letting me down. I am always frustrated when my mind wants to be busy and is racing with ideas but my body won’t let me!
So I am going to share a pre-recorded video this week using the beautiful Woven Textures suite/Textured Notes bundle.
I adore this suite & have been having loads of fun with it!
my finished textured notes card

As the name says – this suite is all about texture! The beautiful stamps have a really distinktive style to them and look gorgeous when stamped.
I shared a card using the suite last week and you can check it out here.
For this card however I went for the more neutral/earthy tones which really suit the suite and go with the gorgeous Designer Series Paper which features different patterns and textures.
I have used a few different techniques including dry embossing (with that awesome 3D Mini Corrugated folder) and the clear and white embossing. I had a play with some emboss resist technique which you can check out on the video below.

Here is a close up look at the finished project where you can see some of the texture and detail from the different elements and techniques that I have added onto my project.
I decided to incorporate my colour scheme throughout the card and use a couple of the retiring in colours including; Copper Clay & Wild Wheat. These beautiful rich colours look great on an earthy card like this one.

This video shows how I created the card that I have featured today including a quick look at some of the techniques that I have used.
I hope that you find some inspiration from my project today and as always I would love to see. Feel free to join my VIP Facebook group where you can share & see other’s work.
