Last night I went live on my weekly Facebook Live to create one of these fun Triple Diamond Fun Fold cards using the brand new not yet released Seasons of Green & Gold Suite from the new Online Exclusives that will be hitting my online store this week. This fun fold is so easy and addictive to make and really looks stunning on display due to its 3D nature.

Here is a look at the finished triple diamond fun fold card. There is a lot of green going on but it is so nice and different to use a monochromatic colour scheme. The beautiful rich green colours and designs in this suite collection are gorgeous – not to mention that the papers have foiled designs! The Triple Diamond Fun Fold is a simple design that involves a standard sized card – one extra score line and adding in some die cut (or cut) squares to recreate this fun design.

It was all about the textures and layering on this card to add lots of dimension.
I did very little stamping with most of the greenery die cut from the Graceful Greenery Vellum and Seasons of Green & Gold Designer Series Paper! I LOVE when Stampin’ Up! makes dies to match their patterned paper and this suite is an absolute gem for that with a lot of the patterns & designs having matching dies. If you don’t like fussy cutting – this suite is for you!

You can see the very simple design of this fun fold here and how that simple ‘box mechanism’ works to create a 3D effect when this card is on display.

To add some extra texture to this card I brought in some plain vellum that I die cut along with some of the brand new Cream Woven Ribbon – you have to touch and feel this stuff to see how amazing it is! I used the gold sequins from the Neutrals Adhesive Backed Sequins for this card rather than the coordinating embellishments as I really wanted a touch of glam!

Here you can see how dimensional this card is when on display. It was hard to photograph the true dimension but the large ‘diamond’ sits further back than the small diamonds giving it a really fun effect.

the reverse panel and a room to write

With the triple diamond fun fold it does eliminate a space to write a greeting on the inside however by adding a simple panel to the back of the card that is rectified. I chose to add some additional die cut pieces and a strip of the gorgeous Designer Series Paper to finish off this panel with some glam. P.S. Aren’t’ those sentiments delightful?
