Best Dressed ~ Shaker Card

Hello lovely blog readers and welcome back to my blog and happy Sunday!
I hope that you have had a lovely and crafty weekend wherever you are.

Today I have a fun/interactive shaker card to share with you.
You may be thinking what? I have shared so many shaker cards lately, funnily enough however they have all been different!

Today’s card features the gorgeous Best Dressed suite of products and the fun Snow Globes that carried over from the Holiday Catalogue.
Those snow globes were ever so popular and so useful!
When I was thinking about all things that I love and all things girly, I thought I should put all of that into making a fun girly snow globe!

I chose to make the theme of this card, a thank you and about sharing kindness.
Kindness really never does and shouldn’t go out of style!

A simple ‘hello’ card in the mail is always fun to receive and put a smile on your face.
I have many many people to send this to!

Here’s a look at the finished card where you can see how it all came together.
I will admit that I am just LOVING the Best Dressed 6×6 Designer Series Paper and this yellow stripe is definitely a favourite.
I have several packs of this DSP and I have almost used ALL of the yellow stripe pattern. Oopsie!

To create the snow globe, it is so easy with the coordinating dies.
You simply cut the globe from the top layer, and you add one of the snow domes to this piece (the snow domes already come with adhesive on both sides).

I have also added a layer of thick Whisper White behind my yellow layer and I have lined up the globe stamp ‘through’ the hole cut out for the dome and stamped the dome detail on the background (it is important to make sure the white is lined up exactly where you are going to position it).

To create the shaker fillers, I have simply cut out some of the super fun elements from the Best Dressed DSP like the handbags, shoes and makeup and used these to place inside. I have also added some Dazzling Diamonds Stampin Glitter and some From my Heart Faceted Gems.

Here’s a close up of the finished card where you can see all the detail.
I wanted to make this card soft and girly so I added some champagne edged Petal Pink Ribbon – this ties the most beautiful bows! and one of the coordinating Best Dressed Tassels.

I did die cut a snow globe base from Basic Black and some of the detailed base from the Rose Glimmer Paper.

I have then accented the card with some florals also cut from the Best Dressed 6×6 DSP.

To finish I added a sentiment stamped in black on white and fussy cut around this, and adhered with Stampin’ Dimensionals.

Of course I just had to decorate the inside, so I have added some black and white layers with some more of that gorgeous yellow striped DSP leftover from the layer I cut for the front of the card.

I then finished it with some fussy cut Purple Posy flowers from the DSP.

I can’t wait to send this to someone to hopefully put a smile on their face.
