Birds and Branches ~ Just Because Card

Hello lovely people!!

This last week I have been enjoying sharing brand new cards using BRAND NEW product from the new upcoming Annual Catalogue that has not gone live yet to customers.

Today I have a super adorable one to share with you, using a brand new bundle that will be available to order from the 3rd of June.

I have actually combined another new stamp set on this card, called the Lovely You Stamp Set for the adorable sentiment.

I have added a couple of other new products including the gold twine from the Forever Greenery Trim Combo Pack and the Gilded Gems.

Here’s a look at the finished card.

I have used a Coastal Cabana background and added layers of Basic Black and Whisper White.

On my Whisper White piece is where I have stamped the branch and leaves from the Birds and Branches Stamp Set in a mixture of Soft Suede and Granny Apple Green.

The colour choices are what really inspired this card. I wanted a mixture of blues and greens and BRIGHT.

Here is a look at the colour swatch of colours that I ended up using for this card…

I have then stamped and die cut a mixture of elements from the stamp set including the gorgeous birds.

This stamp set is what we call a two step stamping set. This means that you stamp more than once to create the finished image.

For my birds I have stamped the base of the bird (the solid image) in Coastal Cabana and then stamped the detail over the top with some Pacific Point. Lastly I added the wing detail with some Bermuda Bay.

I have then stamped my ‘nest’ in Sahara Sand and the gorgeous little flowers in Melon Mambo.

Lastly I have stamped the eggs in Balmy Blue.

I have then die cut all of these out with the coordinating dies. These dies are gorgeous! You must check them out as they have a lot of pieces that are extra – above and beyond just cutting out the stamped images.

Here’s another close up of the finished card where you can see some more of the detail.

I have used the adorable Forever Greenery Trim – that metallic gold trim is my FAVE!

I have wrapped this around the card three times and tied a bow – fraying the ends.

I also bent up my flowers a little and added a Gilded Gem in the centre. If you have seen my cards lately, you would know that I do love those gems.

I also added a beautiful gold leaf die cut from the Forever Gold Laser Cut Specialty Paper.

The sentiment I have used is from the brand new stamp set Lovely You, which I have heat embossed in white on Basic Black Cardstock and fussy cut out. I love the font in this stamp set.

Here’s a look at the decorated inside to my card where I have added layers of Basic Black and Whisper White and just some simple stamping replicating the colours and images I used on the card front.

I have once again added one of the sentiments from the Lovely You Stamp Set, with just a simple ‘smile’.
