Blossoms In Bloom ~ Happy Birthday Card

Hello lovely people!

Happy Monday. A new week, full of creative opportunities!

Today I am excited to be bringing you another brand card using a brand new bundle from the new upcoming Annual Catalogue.

This is one of the more expensive bundles in the new catalogue, however do you know that you can get it HALF PRICE?

I added this one in my pre-order, which I can do early as a demo, and I reached a level which qualified me for a half price item. Yippee! These are called hostess benefits and even on a demonstrator order where we get our discount – we still earn these rewards.

Here’s a look at my finished card.

This card is actually CASE’d from a sample from the catalogue and I have changed and added a few ‘Kayla’ touches.

I was so inspired by the BRIGHT colours and have so incorporated a lot of one of our brand new In Colours – the lovely Magenta Madness – this colour is so pretty and bright!

You can see a picture of the bundle I have used in the product list below. I have used the Blossoms in Bloom stamp set and stamped the large floral image, using my Stamparatus in Coastal Cabana Ink.

I then used the coordinating dies to cut out both large floral pieces out of Fluid 100 Watercolour Paper.

I have then watercolored these in a mixture of: Mango Melody Bermuda Bay, Coastal Cabana, Melon Mambo, Flirty Flamingo and Daffodil Delight. I definitely recommend using our Fluid 100 paper as it can handle a large amount of water and allows you to keep going back in and adding more colour.

I have then kept the layers simple with layers of Basic Black and Whisper White and have added my pieces to the background and spritzed with Wink of Stella.

Here’s a close up of my finished card where you can see some of the detail.

I have added a fun sentiment from the Blossoms in Bloom stamp set.

The fonts and sentiments in this stamp set are so beautiful and versatile. I chose to heat emboss it in white on some Basic Black cardstock and keep it nice and simple.

I then added a beautiful Magenta Madness bow using the new In Colour Ribbon.

Lastly, I embellished with some of our fabulous Clear and Frosted Epoxy Droplets. Just have to have a bit of bling!

Here’s a look at the decorated inside of my card.

I chose to use some of the other floral stamps from the Blossoms in Bloom Stamp Set and stamped them in the same colours used on the card front. Fun and bright!
