Birthday Bonanza & Stitched So Sweetly ~ Birthday Card

Hello lovely blog readers and welcome back to my blog and thanks for visiting today.

Sorry I have been a bit quiet the last couple of days.

I had some very in depth training at work about assisting intervention and safety for those at risk of suicide. It’s a topic close to my heart, and took a lot of energy! So my blog was neglected for a couple of days.

Today I have a brand new card to share with you that I actually made at my catalogue launch back in January – I was so excited to share this gorgeous new suite with all my lovely attendees and those absolutely beautiful Stitched so Sweetly Dies that I am just in love with!

This is such a fun and happy suite of products from Stampin’ Up! and combines bright, happy and fun all into one gorgeous suite.

What’s even better is that it can be used for so many things including male, female and kids birthdays and more!

This card is very unisex, and will be perfect to keep on hand for so many people in my life.

Here’s a look at the finished card where you can see that I kept it very simple!

I chose a Basic Black cardstock card base, added a layer of Coastal Cabana Cardstock and then a layer of the beautiful Birthday Bonanza Designer Series Paper.

I have then added two rectangle die cuts from Coastal Cabana and Whisper White from the Stitched So Sweetly Dies.

To finish off I stamped the fun and happy lion on some white cardstock with some of those fun balloons in a mixture of Mango Melody, Bermuda Bay and Grapefruit Grove.

Tip: This lion needs to be stamped in multiple parts and pieces together, it’s best to refer to the dies (if using them) to see how to best stamp him, and how far apart to stamp the bits and pieces.

I have also cut a cute party hat using the dies from Bermuda Bay and added one of those awesome Assorted Pom Poms with a glue dot!

Finally I have stamped a ‘Happy Birthday’ sentiment in Bermuda Bay Ink on Coastal Cabana Cardstock and fussy cut this out and applied with liquid glue to the left hand side of the rectangle.

To embellish I have added some of the sequins that you can get FREE at the moment when you spend $90 or more in my store during Sale-a-Bration.

I have also added some fun Daffodil Delight Ruched Ribbon in a bow.

Here’s a close up of the finished card where you can see all the details I have added and just how fun they are.

I also spritzed some fun Wink of Stella which you can ‘just’ see. I promise it’s sparkly in person!

Here’s my decorated inside where I have added another sentiment in Bermuda Bay and added layers of Coastal Cabana and Whisper White.
