Hello and welcome to my blog and Happy Monday!
Today I have a really fun card to share with you that just sparks joy in my heart!
This card I made for the absolutely fabulous Stampin’ Fancy Friday team hop.
We are not longer sharing our creations in the form of a Blog Hop, but are instead sharing them over on our Instagram Page andFacebook Page.
You will have to go and check both the pages out, as the participants have just done an absolutely amazing job this month, and there is more to come!
This month the theme we all challenged ourselves with, was creating a project with our favourite Sale-a-Bration product.
For me this was a hard decision…there are so many that I just LOVE!
BUT…the winner was the gorgeous Golden Honey Specialty Designer Series Paper.
There’s a few things I love about that paper, but here’s a couple:
– The gorgeous golden foil elements on the paper. LOVE!
– The black and white designs, especially those stripes!
– The fact that it coordinates so well with our Honey Bee bundle!
– The fact that is works so well with colouring techniques as the speciality foil will resist the ink and still show!
It really is a must have!
You can earn it FREE at the moment with an order of $90 AUD or more in my store!
How cool is that? That offer ends on the 31st of March, so be sure to be quick!
Here’s a look at the finished card and all the fun details.
I was initially inspired by the gorgeous Golden Honey Paper and really wanted to try out doing the resist colouring technique with the beautiful Oval Makeup Brushes that I have been using a lot lately.
I was also inspired to try a new colour combo, for something a little bit different.
Here’s a look at the colours that inspired this card…
As you can see lots of pink and orange-ey tones!
I just love how they look together though, and when it resists that beautiful hexagon gold foiled pattern in the background, it just makes that paper shine!
I have then used the beautiful Stitched So Sweetly Dies to create my beautiful stitched scalloped rectangles in Gold Foil and Whisper White and stamped a gorgeous sentiment from the beautiful Here’s to Strong Women stamp set. I just LOVE this stamp set and I have so many AMAZING women in my life that I could send this to!
That stamp set is a must have in my opinion!
Here’s a look at the fabulous challenge for the month.
Make sure you go over and check out the Facebook page and join in the challenge.
Here’s a close up look of the finished card where you can see some of the gorgeous detail.
I have chosen to embellish with some of the gorgeous Crushed Curry Crinkled Seam Binding Ribbon. Isn’t that colour just adorable?
I decided to bring in some beautiful and strong yellows to really complement the pinks and orange tones of my background.
I also added one of the beautiful Best Dressed Tassels. I am such a tassel girl, and need loads of them in life! They just add such beautiful textural elements to your papercraft projects.
This close up of the finished card really shows off the coloured details of my flowers which are actually stamped using another Sale-a-Bration freebie, and that is the beautiful Happy Birthday To You stamp set.
You can earn this one FREE with any order over $90 also! Isn’t it gorgeous?
Stampin’ Up! also did something amazing last month and released coordinating products, which included some Birthday Dies that actually cut out the cake and these gorgeous flowers from that stamp set.
It also had some additional foliage pieces which you can see I have used here, cut in both Granny Apple Green Cardstock and Gold Glimmer Paper.
The flowers I have chosen to colour in a mixture of Mango Melody and Granny Apple Green Stampin’ Blends and also added a touch of Clear Wink of Stella!
Of course I just had to decorate the inside of the card.
As you can see my card base is made from the beautiful Lovely Lipstick Cardstock and I have added some layers of Basic Black and Whisper White.
I have added an additional stamped sentiment in Lovely Lipstick from the Here’s to Strong Women stamp set and embellished with some additional foliage left over from the card front.
I hope that you got some inspiration from today’s post, and be sure to scroll below to see links to all the products that I have used for today’s post, all of which are available in my store.
DON’T FORGET…If you want to earn those Sale-a-Bration products FREE, but quick – as that all ends on March 31st!
Big crafty hugs! xx
