Fable Friends ~ Darling Baby Card

Hello beautiful blog readers.

Welcome back to my blog and I hope you enjoy today’s post where I am sharing a new card that I made using the beautiful Fable Friends Stamp Set. 

I have been a little bit obsessed with making baby cards lately…don’t worry, I don’t have any of that kind of news to share. 

I have decided to stamp the beautiful ‘Mummy’ duck with her trio of baby duckings.

Here’s a look at the finished card where you can see the combination of products I have used.

The biggest technique I have used on this card is stamping the fun ducks onto some Fluid 100 Watercolour paper in Staz On Ink and then used a huge variety of ink colours (listed below) to colour these beautiful little critters. 

The biggest thing with doing this, is to work slowly and add a little bit of colour at a time! 

I let the colours dry a little before going back and adding more colour.

The biggest tip with watercoloring…is that you can go back and add more but you can’t take it away.

Work slowly!

I have added a fun stitched scalloped border which I have cut in Coastal Cabana using the beautiful ‘Be Mine’ Dies which helped to transition between the black and white Golden Honey Designer Series Paper and the Whisper White Background which I have embossed with the Subtle Embossing Folder. 

I have added some Linen Thread (wrapped around the card a few times) and added a bow in the Crushed Curry Crinkled Seam Binding Ribbon. 

Here’s a close up of the finished card where you can see all the finer details. 

I have added some fun Gold Glimmer hearts which were cut using the beautiful Detailed Hearts Die and the Gold Glimmer Paper. 

I have heat embossed my sentiment from the Fable Friends Stamp Set in white on some Basic Black Cardstock.

What a fun baby card! 

Here’s a look at the stamped and decorated inside of my card where I have added some more Gold Glimmer hearts and a beautiful baby sentiment stamped in Memento Black using the Praiseworthy Prose Stamp Set.

I haven’t used this stamp set before and now I am in LOVE!
