Botanical Prints Medley ~ Friendship Card

Hello and welcome back to my little blog.
Today I am excited to be sharing with you a card that I made recently using the GORGEOUS new product medley from the Stampin’ Up! Mini Catalogue.

I think that this bundle could be easily overlooked as it is towards the back of the catalogue and quite easy to flick past. I really wanted to showcase this gorgeous medley as it really does have a lot of potential!

What I decided to do was grab the medley and lay it all out on my desk and see where my creativity took me. I fell in love with the coordinating stamp set Botanical Prints and really wanted to feature this on the card. I really was inspired too by the gorgeous copper dragonfly embellishments that come as part of this medley, so I decided to feature my favourite of the stamps with a repetitive stamped background, embossed in copper!

Here’s a look at the completed card where you can see the effect that the repeatedly stamped floral in copper looks like as a background.
I really think it makes that stamp shine!

Here’s a close up of the finished project where you can see some of the details.
I have used the stamp to create some more flowers which I have coloured with a mixture of; Calypso Coral, Granny Apple Green and Flirty Flamingo Stampin’ Blends. I really wanted to bring out these flowers since I had also used them in the background.

I have also accented with some Crumb Cake leaves punched out with some scrap card with the Leaf Punch. I love the Leaf Punch and I am so hoping it stays around forever! It makes the cutest little accents.

I have finished the card up with a copper embossed sentiment on one of the included label die cuts and added one of those gorgeous copper dragonflies and some of the beautiful coordinating Old Olive Ribbon.

You really do get everything you need to create beautiful cards in this medley!

Here’s a look at the coordinating inside that I created for my card where I have added layers of Basic Black and Whisper White and added another floral die cut with an intricate corner cut from the coordinating dies included in the medley from Crumb Cake cardstock.
