Brightly Gleaming Copper ~ Christmas Card

Hello lovely crafty blog reader!
Today I am back sharing a couple more Christmas cards with you and a great idea for using up those paper scraps!
If you are anything like me – you just love your Designer Series Paper, but never use it all up!

Well here’s a card design for you!

I just love this Brightly Gleaming Designer Series Paper and I wanted to feature it all as I could not decide which design was my favourite – so I did just that and used it all!

To achieve this look, I have cut out a rectangle of Whisper White cardstock big enough to fit one of the Stitched Rectangle dies. (I have used the third largest die). I have then cut strips of Designer Series Paper to 1” long and literally covered my piece in them.
Taking this piece, I have then cut a section out with my Stitched Rectangle Die.

This gives you your base to work with.

I have then adhered this to the card using Stampin’ Dimensionals.

I then embellished with a label cut from the Pretty Label punch in Copper Foil and added some stamped pieces coloured with Stampin’ Blends from the Christmas Gleaming Stamp Set.
I also stamped the sentiment in the Celestial Copper Delicata ink pad.

I added some Copper Washi Tape, a Crumb Cake Stitched Rectangle die cut and some Brightly Gleaming foil accents and Copper Star Designer Elements.
I have adhered all this together as show, and tied a Linen Thread Bow around the card.

I kept it pretty simple, and layered my pieces with both liquid glue and Stampin’ Dimensionals for varied heights.

This is a good base card design to mass produce some cards, as you could cover a large piece of cardstock in these paper strips and cut out a lot of rectangle card bases in one go!
Then you are all set!
