Hello guys and welcome back to my little blog.
Today I am participating in the lovely Kylie Bertucci’s International Blog Highlight.
I would love you to check out the rest of the gallery and go and vote for my card here.
Today I have a very special card to share with you featuring the Bloom & Grow stamp set and the very fun Pigment Sprinkles.
I had a lot of fun creating this super colourful card with one of my absolute favourite stamp sets.
Read on to see some tips for how I made this card, and if you go to the bottom of the post, you can see a list of all the supplies I have used which link to my shop so that you can purchase them for yourself to make this beautiful card.
Here you can see the finished card in all it’s glory.
To achieve this background I have used a mix of a few of the different colours of Pigment Sprinkles including Melon Mambo, Mango Melody and Daffodil Delight.
I used a piece of Watercolor paper and wet this liberally with water from a Stampin’ Spritzer and then added my Pigment Sprinkles over the top.
I usually find that I have to go back over the top and spray more water to have it blend nicely.
I have then cut into this background with the scalloped border die from the Bloom & Grow bundle to tuck my flowers in once this piece was dry.
I have adhered this piece to a layer of Basic Black Cardstock and adhered this to a Whisper White card base.
Next I have added the embellishments. I measured between my scalloped pieces and cut a piece of Gold Glimmer slightly smaller in height but the same width as the piece of Watercolour Paper and then also cut a piece of Basic Black slightly smaller in height than the Gold Glimmer but also the same width as the Watercolour paper.
Before adhering these together, I have stamped that ‘Let’s Celebrate You’ in versamark and heat embossed this in white embossing powder.
Finally I added my last minute touches, including some stamped florals (coloured with Blends’ and some other pieces including linen thread, Glitter Enamel Dots and a flower from the For The Love of Felt Project Kit.
It wouldn’t be a ‘Kayla’ card without decorating the inside, so I stamped and coloured one of the floral arrangements here also.
I do love how it turned out, and I steered away from blue/green colour combos which I usually go for.
I hope you enjoyed a look at this card I created.
