Crazy Crafter Highlights - Oh Hello Friend - Kayla Renee, Stampin' Up! Demonstrator

Hi everyone!

I hope you have all had a lovely week.

I am once again playing along in the Crazy Crafters Weekly Highlights.

I love that as a team we can share what we have been up to and it’s always such a creative inspiration clicking around everyone’s blogs. Creativity is best when shared!

Today I am sharing the card that I made for my swap when I attended Onstage in Melbourne a couple of weeks ago.

This was a relatively quick and simple card that I was able to put together as I made SIXTY of them! Yep…sixty…it was madness. I even had my three year old helping me cut out the bits and get a production line happening.

When making my swap cards I wanted to make something that represented me and for that I knew I just had to go with blues/greens and bright colours. Of course it also needed a touch of gold and I think my personality is bright with a bit of glitter!

They do say everything is better with a bit of sparkle.

To keep the card design simple I decided on using an embossing folder on the background so I could create lots of texture without too much work.

Our embossing folders at Stampin’ Up! are great for this and come in so many designs.

For this card I used the Petal Burst embossing folder which you will be able to find linked in the supplies below.

Here’s a bit of a close up of the card and some of the texture and embellishments I added.

I just love the crinkle ribbon in Night of Navy (from the Naturally Eclectic suite)

I also added some metallic gold thread, a gold faceted gem and a bit of gold glimmer paper.

The photo probably doesn’t do it justice, but I also added lots of clear Wink of Stella to my flower.
