Hi everyone!
After my week of sharing all the amazing Onstage highlights (there is still a few more things to come!) I thought I would pop by and share one of the cards I made using a BRAND NEW stamp set that we received in our conference bags.
The ribbon in the Picture Perfect Birthday Stamp Set jumped out at me as soon as I saw it and I knew the perfect person to make this card for, so I set to work.
Here’s a look at the whole stamp set (with the others I received at Onstage)
I used bright, happy and fun colours to really make this a FUN card and everyone that knows me will know that I absolutely LOVE working with bright colours.
My favourite Stampin’ Up! colours are always Lemon Lime Twist and Bermuda Bay! I have used both of those colours on this card with the addition of Berry Burst and Peekaboo Peach!
I grabbed out the white embossing powder to accentuate one of the sentiments in the stamp set.
This card is actually CASE’d from the front cover of the new Occasions catalogue. I added my own touches to make it suit what I was working with.
To stamp the ribbon bows I have stamped off once for the base image and then gone back with full strength ink with the second stamp which makes the bows appear 3D. Stampin’ Up! really do think of everything!
The other new product I used on this card were those gorgeous glittery enamel dots that look like rain drops. Aren’t they cute? I think I will be hoarding A LOT of those in my craft stash!
I finished off the card with the ticket tear border punch with a bit of Peekaboo peach and some Black Metallics Thread and Gold Mini Sequin Trim.
It really is a simple card but I love the way it turned out and I hope the person that receives this card loves it.

Thank you for the inspiration, Kayla – I had no idea what to do with this stamp set! It wasn't speaking to me at all!
Super bright and happy is this card. It is a card to give someone a lift. I personally like this stamp set. I love the flame, I am in two minds on how to use it, and I loved these two stepped bows as soon as I saw them. I think this Stamp Set will get a good work out once the brainstorming hits. I like the edging from the Punch as well it just give the card another platform of dimension.
