Flowering Foils & So Very Vellum Speciality DSP ~ SAB Freebies

Hello and welcome back to my little blog today.

Today I have a card to share with you using some BRAND NEW products that are being added to the Sale-a-Bration range next month (on March 3rd).

I was very excited to use the brand new Flowering Foils Specialty Designer Series Paper and the Very Vellum Designer Series Paper. This stuff is seriously gorgeous!

To create this card I followed these steps:

Cut a card base from Basic Black. I have created a top folding card.
Cut a layer of Whisper White to 10cm x 14.4cm. Adhere this to your card base.
Cut a piece of Very Vellum in Pool Party to 9.7cm x 14.1cm and adhere this lightly to the Whisper White cardstock with small dots of liquid glue.
Cut a Stitched Nested Label (the largest one) from Thick Whisper White cardstock and adhere this to the middle of card.
Take a piece of the Flowering Foils Paper with the large flower elements on it and colour this lightly with a Sponge Dauber with Coastal Cabana and Granny Apple Green inks. Colour the berries with Flirty Flamingo Ink and add some Wink of Stella if you wish. I have coloured three of the large floral arrangements and then cut them out and pieced them together piecing bits and pieces of each to create a layered flower (see close up image). I have layered the flowers together with a mixture of liquid glue and Stampin’ Dimensionals.
Using some Snail adhesive, apply a few strips of adhesive to the stitched nested label and use this to adhere down a grouping of Linen Thread to peek out behind your floral arrangement.
Add a small strip of Gold Glimmer to underneath where you will place your sentiment.
Stamp your sentiment in Versamark (the sentiment I have used is from the Free as a Bird stamp set) and heat emboss in white. I have stamped this on Basic Black Cardstock. I have flagged the end of this and adhered to the card with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
Embellish with some Champagne Rhinestones and some Wink of Stella spritzes.

Here’s a close up of the finished card where you can see all the embellishments and fun texture this card has from those gorgeous papers.

This close up really shows the layering on that fun flower and just how fun it looks! You can also see some of the Wink of Stella sparkle from my favourite ‘spritzing’ technique.

I had to decorate the inside of course, so I have added another sentiment and a strip of the gorgeous Flowering Foils DSP.
