Hello lovely crafty superstars!
Today I am popping by on this lovely Sunday to share a fun card with you that I created recently using the beautiful Forever Blossoms Bundle and the stunning Best Dressed 6×6 Designer Series Paper.
We are getting towards the end of a catalogue, and for me that means I am trying to use up my stash of all the current designer papers.
For me, I didn’t want any to go to waste, and we do have a couple of months left of these stunning designs, but I wanted to share with you all why you need to add these gorgeous papers to your stash while they are still available.
I had a really fun time stamping out these gorgeous cherry blossoms which I went to town colouring with Stampin’ Blends.
I added some of the stunning Petal Pink Metallic Edged Ribbon in a bit of a zig zag.
I hope you enjoy today’s post and get some inspiration to get out there and #loveitchopit and use up those gorgeous patterned papers.
Be sure to scroll to the bottom of this post to see a full list of the products I have used for today’s project, all of which are available in my store here.
To achieve this card I have followed these basic steps:
- Cut a card base from Basic Black Cardstock to a top folding portrait card.
- Cut a layer of Whisper White Cardstock to 10cm x 14.4cm. Set aside.
- Cut a piece of Best Dressed 6×6 Designer Series Paper to 9.7cm x 14.1cm. Adhere this piece to the layer of Whisper White and then adhere these layers to the card base with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
- From a scrap of Thick Whisper White Cardstock, cut the largest oval from the Stitched Shapes Dies. Also cut a scalloped rectangle from the largest scalloped oval from the Layering Ovals Dies from Champagne Foil Cardstock. Adhere these together, and adhere to the card front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
- From a scrap of Thick Whisper White Cardstock, stamp the Cherry Blossom branch in Memento Black Ink. Also stamp one of the individual flowers and some of the leaves and tiny closed blossoms. Colour all of these with a mixture of; Flirty Flamingo, Lovely Lipstick, Granny Apple Green Stampin’ Blends before die cutting them out with the coordinating dies from the Forever Blossoms Bundle.
- Take the Detailed Hearts Die and die cut out one of the heart background from Gold Glimmer. Set aside the hearts as you will only need three individual hearts.
- Use some Snail or similar adhesive to apply some adhesive to middle of the oval piece and use this to adhere down a length of the Petal Pink Metallic Edged Ribbon. Create a zig zag of ribbon as shown.
- Adhere the cherry blossom branch where shown with Stampin’ Dimensionals. I have also adhered some additional leaves and blossoms and tucked them in here and there with a mixture of Glue Dots and Stampin’ Dimensionals. Add some Basic Pearls to the centres of the large flowers.
- Add some of the Gold Glimmer hearts with some Liquid Glue.
- Take a scrap of Whisper White Thick Cardstock and stamp the ‘Friend’ sentiment. Trim this down and cut the end at an angle. Adhere this to the card where shown.
- Add some spritzes on Wink of Stella to the card if you wish.
- Decorate the inside layers of the card if you wish to. I have used some of the leftover flower die cut and leaf die, along with some layers of Basic Black and Whisper White Cardstock. I have also added a strip of Best Dressed 6×6 Designer Series Paper.
- Enjoy!
Here’s a close up look at the finished card where you can see all the coloured detail.
When I coloured the cherry blossom, I have also added some Clear Wink of Stella over the top for some added sparkle.
I have been a bit addicted to Wink of Stella lately and have been spritzing and adding it everywhere!
Here’s a look at the finished inside of the card where you can see that I have just added a simple sentiment and added a flower. I have also die cut some leaves from the Granny Apple Green Cardstock and tucked them in for added interest. I have added layers of Granny Apple Green cardstock and Whisper White Cardstock.
This bundle is a great one to get and add to your stash as it could be used for a lot of different occasions, and well that cherry blossom is just GORGEOUS!
The dies have a lot of dies in them also, including some gorgeous branches and cherry blossoms that you can build the cutest cards with!
I hope you enjoyed and got some inspiration from today’s post.
Big crafty hugs! xx
