Little Ladybug ~ Thank You Card

Happy weekend lovely people.

I hope the weather is splendid and you are getting some much deserved crafty time!

Today I have a card to share with you using the beautiful Little Ladybug stamp set.

This stamp set is ever so popular and it’s so gorgeous and versatile!

I have combined this with a really fun colour combo, and also using a lot of Coastal Cabana!

In the words of the gorgeous Dena Rekow…Coastal Cabana is the colour that lets us know that God loves us! I always giggle at that!

I have also had a lot of fun playing with the gorgeous Stampin’ Blends on this post and had a great time colouring my gorgeous flower in with those super fun blends that are super easy and fun to use!

To achieve this card I have followed these basic steps:

Cut a card base from Whisper White Cardstock to a top folding portrait card.
Cut a layer of Basic Black Cardstock to 9.9cm x 14.3cm. Set aside.
Cut a piece of Coastal Cabana Cardstock to 9.7cm x 14.1cm. Adhere this to your piece of black, and then adhere these to the card base with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
From a scrap piece of Coastal Cabana Cardstock, cut the largest circle die from the Stitched Shapes dies, and from the Layering Circle dies, cut the largest scalloped circle. Adhere these two circles together and then adhere to the centre of the card with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
Spritz some Clear Wink of Stella over the card for some sparkle and shine.
Take a scrap piece of Whisper White Thick Cardstock and stamp out a flower with a stem and also a solo flower as well as a sitting ladybug from the Little Ladybug Stamp Set. Colour these with a mixture of Lovely Lipstick, Granny Apple Green, Daffodil Delight, Poppy Parade, Smoky Slate and Petal Pink Stampin’ Blends. Die cut these out using the coordinating Ladybug Dies. Adhere the flower with the stem to the card where shown with liquid adhesive. Taking just the flower, slightly curl this flower using a bone folder to achieve some dimension and apply Glue Dots to the bottom edge of the flower, before adhering this over the top of the adhered flower and stem. Add the ladybug where shown with some Stampin’ Dimensionals.
Take a scrap piece of Whisper White Thick Cardstock and stamp the ‘Thank You’ sentiment from the Little Ladybug stamp set with Versamark and heat emboss in black. Trim this sentiment piece down and flag the ends. Adhere where shown on the card with glue.
Tie a bow from the Whisper White Baker’s Twine and adhere to the card where shown with Glue Dots.
Embellish with some Basic Rhinestones.
Decorate the inside layers of the card if you wish to. I have used a ladybug die cuts, along with some layers of Coastal Cabana and Whisper White Cardstock and a stamped sentiment, stamped in Lovely Lipstick.

I love the subtle texture and fun that the bakers twine bow gives the finished card. I actually don’t tend to use my bakers twine too much as I am a bit of a Linen Thread girl, but I promise I a getting better at using it!

Here’s a look at the finished inside of my card and the cute little ladybug I have added to the inside. These ladybugs are just the cutest and you really do need them because they make the most adorable cards.
