Memorable Mosaic ~ Kindness Card

Hello lovely blog reader and welcome back to my little blog.

Today I am sharing with you just one card I made inspired by the gorgeous textured Memorable Mosaic Designer Series paper.

We actually got a packet of this paper free at the Stampin’ Up! Onstage event in New Zealand that we had back in April and it took me a while to tear into it, it wasn’t my usual style.

Paired however with the gorgeous coordinating stamp set, that tree just caught my eye and I had to stamp it! I actually wanted several tones of green and brown on the tree, so I simply turned over the stamp and used my Stampin’ Write markers to colour the stamp to achieve multiple colours.

This technique can also be achieved by inking up with an ink pad and then sponging additional colours on with our sponge daubers.

I hope you enjoy a look at this card which is something a bit different for my usual style.

This card could also be made more masculine by simple omitting the butterflies and perhaps tying a knot with the linen thread instead of a bow? I love butterflies and anything feminine, so of course I chose to add them 😉

I had a lot of fun with the sentiment on this one and that is what I was most excited about doing on this card. I used the coordinating punch that goes along with this suite and stamped and heat embossed the sentiment in gold.

I then stamped the sentiment again with Versamark ink onto black paper and embossed in white.

I then fussy cut the word ‘kindness’ to pop over the original kindness stamped onto the tag. You will notice by doing this that the original one with stamp off the edges of the punched tag, but that is okay since you will be layering over this piece.

I then embellished with some Woven Threads sequins…I am totally addicted to those things! and some Linen Thread as well as the gorgeous coordinating Mint Macaron Textile Ribbon which coordinates with this suite.

I then decorated the inside of the card with some simple layers and a little bit of stamping.
