It’s another great challenge week at TGIF and I always love the colour challenges, they either come to me naturally or push me out of my comfort zone – this one did both! I love the brights but was a little stumped about this combo! Parakeet Party is one of my favourites. I am a bright green girl!
When I saw the colour combination I thought of this beautiful stamp set from the Online Exclusives collection with those beautiful big monsteria leaves and just knew that I wanted to incorporate it somewhere! It all came together in the end. It’s actually quite beautiful really, they really POP on that dark Blueberry Bushel and the soft/baby look of the Bubble Bath is just the touch it needs!
Here is a look at this week’s TGIF challenge and a look at the gorgeous colour palette.

what are Stampin’ Up! online exclusives?

Stampin’ Up! Online Exclusives are a new introduction to the Stampin’ Up! product range and are released three times a year by Stampin’ Up! (every four months) to introduce even more to our already amazing catalogue of products.
These products are not seen in any of our printed catalogues and are only available online.
They are limited release products and are not guaranteed stock, they may not be restocked once sold out. This allowed Stampin’ Up! to bring the latest and greatest on trend product to us more frequently and stay on top of market trends.
I am pretty excited about this.
The bundle I have featured in this post today (Tropical Leaf Bundle was part of one of the Online Exclusive releases and is still available in my online store).

MY FINISHED CARD – THANKS SO MUCH

Here is a look at my finished card. This was so much fun to put this together! I used the Designer Series Paper from the Bright & Beautiful Collection because this actually features both Blueberry Bushel and Bubble Bath colours. I loved featuring this as my background as the dark and bold background really helped to make the bright Parakeet Party leaves stand out!
With an stamp from the Tropical Leaf stamp set I have added some subtle ‘XOXO’ stamping in the background in Blueberry Bushel however subtle it adds a tiny bit of texture.
All of the monsteria leaves have been stamped in Parakeet Party with the veins heat embossed in gold. This bundle does come with a matching patch which coordinates with the larger leaf making it quick and easy to punch these out! You do need to fussy cut out the smaller leaves – however this does not take long!
a look at the close up details

Here is a close up look at the finished card. I have added tiny details including a smaller distressed corner in the top left and some of that beautiful More Dazzle Paper underneath my sentiment.
To add in the Bubble Bath colour I used the Petal Park stamp set and Petal Park Punch to add some small flowers which I have accented with some of the Iridescent Pastel Gems in a neutral colour. I love these pastel gems as the more neutral tone colours of the gems picks up whatever colour you place it on, it really is gorgeous.
My favourite part of the card is the frayed ribbon. It has been a bit of an obsession of mine lately to fray the individual strands of the white Herringbone ribbon and colour it with Stampin’ Blends markers. I love that this adds a coordinated touch and it is so quick and easy. I have added this underneath my sentiment. It added both texture and a bit more of that Bubble Bath tone!
a look at the inside of the card…

A little look at my inside where I have added some more of that gorgeous Bright & Beautiful Designer Series Paper and some More Dazzle Speciality Paper. I had one more of the Monsteria leaves left over so I have added just one to carry through the design with some more of the Petal Park leaves stamped in Bubble Bath ink. I added just a touch of blending with the Blueberry Bushel Ink and lastly a tiny sentiment stamped in Blueberry Bushel.
For a colour combination that I wasn’t sure about at first, I just love how it came together.
I had a load of fun playing along with this week’s TGIF challenge. Be sure to hop along and play along with this week’s challenge.
Don’t forget to check out the Stampin’ Up! Online Exclusives, it’s always changing and I love that they keep the products fresh and exciting. I just had to share this one because it’s fresh & beautiful and I love a good plant themed stamp!
I have lots more projects to share with this set, so you will see me back here soon with more!
Until next time, crafty hugs. xx
