Pleased as Punch DSP and Umbrella Builder Punch ~ It's Your Day Card

Hello lovely blog readers and happy Thursday!

Today I am sharing something exciting with you and that is a card made with our gorgeous Pleased as Punch DSP (Designer Series Paper).

Last month Stampin’ Up! released a selection of products that coordinate with our Sale-a-Bration choices and some products from the Mini Catalogue, and I just fell in love with this coordinating paper!
The fun thing? This paper coordinates with so much of our punches including; The Umbrella punch, Heart Punch Pack, Small Blooms Punch and the Tulip Builder Punch.
Not to mention you get some adorable patterns on the reverse and patterns as is. The choice is yours and you get plenty in the paper pack, so you don’t have to worry about choosing a side of the paper to use!

I have actually kept this card very simple.
I have used Basic Black for the top folding card base and added a layer of Crumb Cake and Whisper White as cardstock layers before adding some of the Pleased as Punch patterned paper in a strip.

Before I adhered this strip, I did stamp down a bit of an artistic type stamp from the Label Me Bold stamp set from the Mini Catalogue, and I have stamped this in Coastal Cabana.
This helped to provide a nice ‘grounding’ for my umbrella.

I then punched out an umbrella and handle from the coordinating paper using the Umbrella Builder Punch. I further decorated it by punching out some blooms with the Small Blooms Punch which you can earn FREE at the moment with a $180 order.

I then added some Metallic Twine which is also from our Sale-a-Bration selections and tied this into a small bow.

I have then added a pair of boots that come from the Under my Umbrella stamp set. I have coloured these with Mango Melody and Smoky Slate Stampin’ Blends.

Here’s a close up look at my finished card where you can see the texture and dimension.
I did add some of the beautiful Frosted and Clear Epoxy Droplets from the Annual Catalogue to the centres of three of my flowers for a bit of extra pizazz!

I decided to add a sentiment from the stamp set, and chose to go with ‘It’s Your Day’. I figured by doing this, it makes the card quite universal and it can be used for multiple occasions.

No naked inserts here.
I have added another strip of the coordinating Pleased as Punch DSP and added another punched umbrella and handle with a Balmy Blue bloom. I had to add a centre to this one too…because you know…they are just so cute?
