Pressed Petals ~ Peaceful Poppies Journal

Hello my dear and lovely blog readers.
I wanted to come by today and share something fun that I made earlier this month that I just fell in love with.

I will admit, I was totally inspired by the fabulous Mini Catalogue and all the gorgeous samples inside. In the gorgeous catalogue, they showed a fun journal made with the Pressed Petals Journal, which you can buy in my store here, using the Peaceful Poppies dies and fun elements!
I just had to make my own.

I combined this with a few other elements, like one of the tassels from the Best Dressed Suite, some Linen Thread and an absolutely stunning sentiment heat embossed from the Parisian Beauty stamp set.

I just can’t wait to use this beautiful journal to record some special life moments.

Here’s a little look at the completed journal.
What really inspired me were those gorgeous Poppy Moments dies, don’t they just make the most gorgeous flowers, and make such a statement that you really don’t need much else – as they are a feature on their own!

I have used a mixture of cardstock colours including; Lovely Lipstick, Flirty Flamingo, Call Me Clover, Granny Apple Green and Basic Black.

They are actually very simple to put together too, and I only needed a little bit of liquid glue and I was all set.

I have heat embossed my sentiment from the Parisian Beauty stamp set onto one of the Peaceful Poppies Elements (black label) with White Embossing Powder because I just thought the sentiment “Follow Your Heart, it will take you to Beautiful places” was just so appropriate for a journal!

I have added some of the Vellum pieces from the Peaceful Poppies Elements to layer in behind, and then added a Best Dressed Tassel in white and some Linen Thread and I was done!

I just want to make several of these now!

They are just so cute!
