Sailing Home ~ Pizza Box Notecard Set

I thought I’d pop along by and share something really fun with you all.
I must admit that I have been really bad and this project was actually created AGES ago and I have been meaning to share it! Oopsie!

I just love this Come Sail Away suite in the annual catalogue and it is so great for both masculine and gender neutral cards – or for anyone that loves anything nautical.

When I saw this, I just really wanted to make some little notecards that featured those stunning sentiments.

I really think this would also make a fabulous gift to give to somebody that just loves anything handmade, as these would be beautiful little notecards to give to anyone that just needs a smile and hey we did just celebrate #worldcardmakingweek and these kind of sentiments would be sure to put a smile on anyone’s face, without needing an occasion!

Here’s a look at the finished pizza box that I decorated. I love these mini pizza boxes because one side is glossy and the other is matte, so takes to being sponged and coloured really well.
So many options!

I have sponged mine with Night of Navy ink and then added a layer of Basic Black Card and some Come Sail Away DSP with some added embellishments and that beautiful Sahara Sand/Night of Navy twine and called it done!

Here’s a look at the set of four notecards that I made to go inside my little pizza box as a gift.
I have made two notecards of each saying and just love how they turned out.
I used a different design of the Come Sail Away DSP on each and set this off with some ‘sea greenery’ cut in the Old Olive Cardstock on each and then embellished with the Woven Threads Sequins, Sahara Sand/Night of Navy Twine and a beautiful sentiment.

I just love how they turned out and guess what? I made these ages ago and I don’t think I have still gifted these to someone.
I guess I know what I am doing now!
