Seriously The Best ~ Hello Friend ~ Stamparatus Card

Today I am sharing with you a really simple card that I made this week, that is honestly so easy!

I was really inspired by a video that I watched from the lovely Jennifer McGuire. I just love watching her videos, and she shared one that is actually from back in 2015, but when I saw it I was really inspired to replicate it using the Ombre stamping technique using the Stamparatus.

I really wanted to feature the Seriously The Best Stamp set which actually coordinates with one of our gorgeous project kits available from the Mini Catalogue called the Seriously The Best Project Kit.

To achieve this card I have followed these basic steps:

Cut a card base from Blueberry Bliss Cardstock to a top folding landscape card.
Cut a layer of Basic Black Cardstock to 9.9cm x 14.3cm. Set aside.
Cut a piece of Whisper White Thick Cardstock to 9.7cm x 14.1cm.
Cut a strip of Silver Glimmer Paper to 14.1cm x 2cm.
Place your piece of Whisper White Cardstock in your Stamparatus Stamp Positioning Tool. Place the ‘Hello Friend’ and ‘I Miss You A Lot’ stamps to this piece of white cardstock towards the bottom right hand corner. Adhere these stamps to the plate of the Stamparatus. Ink both stamps completely with Coastal Cabana Ink and stamp. Next ink the stamps up with some Bermuda Bay ink, covering 3/4 of the stamps and using a sponge dauber to slightly blend the colours where the Bermuda Bay finishes. Stamp this down. Finally add some Blueberry Bushel ink just to the beginning of the stamps (using the picture as a guide) and repeat the step with the sponge dauber to slightly blend the inks. Stamp down.
Place your stamped white piece in your paper trimmer, and using the picture of the finished card above as a rough guide, cut through the middle of the stamped sentiment, taking out a section roughly 1/8″ in width. Using these two pieces as a guide, stick your Silver Glimmer piece to your piece of Basic Black cardstock and then adhere these two pieces of Whisper White where shown. Adhere the Basic Black panel to the card base with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
Add some Wink of Stella spritzes to the card for some sparkle and shine.
Tie a bow from Linen Thread and adhere to the card where shown. Using a Glue Dot, add a Flower Faceted Gem in blue, over the top of this bow.
Decorate the inside layers of the card if you wish to.

Here’s a close up of the finished card where you can see all the details and the beautiful ombre stamping and how effective something so simple can look.

It really does make those gorgeous sentiments shine. I just love the beautiful font in this stamp set and think it is a must have for every cardmaker’s stash!

Here’s the decorated inside of the card where I have just added some basic layers of white and black with some basic stamping using one of the foliage stamps.
