Hello and welcome back to my little blog.
Today I have a really adorable card to share with you that combines a few of my favourite things.
I may have mentioned in a previous post, but geishas are another one of my favourite things.
I think they are so adorable and it mostly comes from one of my favourite movies of all times, “Memoirs of a Geisha”. The screen play in that movie is just GORGEOUS!
I was really inspired to create a card that combined a few things and that is the the beautiful Forever Blossoms bundle for those adorable cherry blossoms. I just couldn’t have a geisha without some cherry blossoms, and the beautiful Power of Hope Stamp Set, as well as the gorgeous script background created using the Parisian Beauty Stamp Set.
I just love how it all came together, and I had a wow of a time colouring those fun cherry blossoms.
I hope you get some inspiration from today’s card, and be sure to check below for all the products I have used in today’s card, all of which are available in my store here.
Here’s a look at the finished card where you can see how the colours really pop again the subtle and neutral tones and Basic Black and Crumb Cake.
I really loved combining the gorgeous tones of pink with these subtle and neutral tones.
I have coloured my cherry blossoms with a mixture of Lovely Lipstick, Flirty Flamingo and Petal Pink Stampin’ Blends and of course coloured the leaves with the ever so beautiful Granny Apple Green Stampin’ Blends.
I did something a little bit fun to achieve my beautiful geisha by stamping her once on Thick Whisper White Cardstock and then again on the beautiful Parisian Blossoms Specialty Designer Series Paper.
I have fussy cut the white geisha out and coloured the umbrella with a mixture of Petal Pink and Flirty Flamingo Stampin’ Blends and added a touch of Petal Pink Light Stampin’ Blends to the nape of her neck.
I have then fussy cut the stamped geisha from the designer paper and just cut her kimono and then layered and paper pieced this over the top.
This gives a really fun and textured (and gorgeous foiling detail) to her beautiful kimono & it’s relatively simple to achieve.
Here’s a close up of my finished card where you can see all the detail.
I have embellished with some fun Champagne Rhinestones in the centre of my cherry blossoms.
I have also added a fun Linen Thread bow which I added one of the gorgeous Bird Ballad Trinkets to.
As you can see I have also picked up some of the silver foiling on the paper by repeatedly stamping the script stamp from the Parisian Beauty Stamp Set on the black and heat embossing in silver.
I have added to this by adding a strip of Silver Glimmer paper for extra sparkle.
Of course I also added some Wink of Stella!
Here you can see the completed inside of my card where I added layers of Crumb Cake and Whisper White and another stamped cherry blossom and leaf.
I added a simple sentiment and this is a perfect friendship card.
I hope you got some inspiration from today’s post and will be sure to go and check out my store where you can purchase all these products.
I have them all linked below.
Don’t forget, that the gorgeous geisha comes from the Power of Hope bundle which you can earn FREE at the moment with a $180 purchase in my store only until March 31st!
Big crafty hugs! xx

Kayle,
This is the most stunning card I have seen in awhile. It really took my breath away! I love the geisha too. I have been attracted to that culture since a child when my uncle had a home decorated with items from their Japan and China trip. Plus, their house they had built was oriental in style. Now, I have to go digging for those stamp sets, hope I have them. Or check EBay. Thanks for the inspiration and putting a smile on my face!

Thank you so much Nancy.
I am so glad that I was able to inspire you with my card. I totally agree. The culture is a big love of mine. When I was a teenager I read the book Memoirs of a Geisha by Arthur Golden and then watched the movie and fell in love. It’s been my dream to travel there – hopefully one day!
Hopefully you can find this set – there were quite a few around at one point as it was a free set available in Sale-a-Bration a few years ago! I got rid of mine unfortunately as I don’t keep anything retired.
Happy stamping. x
