Stampin’ Up! ~ Celebrate Sunflowers ~ Papercraft Crew #PCC380

Tonight I have a fabulous card to share with you using the beautiful Stampin’ Up! Celebrate Sunflowers bundle.

Here’s a look at my finished card. I was really inspired the lovely Emma Goddard and her fabulous watercolour stripes!

This card was inspired by two things…the lovely Papercraft Crew sketch for this challenge.

It may look nothing like the sketch when you first look at it, but I was really inspired by the fabulous cluster of items.

I was then inspired to play with colour and watercolour!

I used a combination of Melon Mambo, Mango Melody, Crushed Curry and Calypso Coral to watercolour the base of my Sunflower and the background.

This close up also shows the super fun watercolour stripes. They are glimmery!

You might wonder how I did that. It was totally inspired by the lovely Emma Goddard!

She adds Frost White Shimmer Paint to some re-inker (in this case it was Calypso Coral re-inker) and painted these onto some Fluid 100 Watercolour paper.

I have die cut the sunflower base from Fluid 100 Watercolour paper and used a Water Painter to watercolour some; Melon Mambo, Mango Melody and Crushed Curry inks onto it. I have used the detailed Sunflower Die and cut in Gold Foil to go over the top.

The sentiment is heat embossed in white on Basic Black cardstock and fussy cut out to layer over the top.

Here’s a look at the inside of my card which I have kept simple with layers of Basic Black and Whisper White with a simple stamped sunflower which I have coloured with; Crumb Cake, Mango Melody and Granny Apple Green Stampin’ Blends.
