Welcome to another week of the Global Design Project. This week we have a fun colour challenge for you. I think these are my favourite challenges! I love playing with new colours, re-inventing old combinations and being challenged with colours I wouldn’t normally play with!
This week was a bit of both.
My favourite colours to combine are blue & green…but I never play with Soft Saffron. So it was fun to try something new!
Here’s a look at this week’s challenge.
Be sure to go over to the blog and check it out & play along.

For my card today I wanted to play with something fresh & funky!
This new Conversations Bubbles bundle ticks both of those boxes. It reminds me of comics. So much fun!

This was actually somewhat similar to the card base that I created for last week’s challenge where I created an ombre background but instead of four colours I have used two.
I have cut out HEAPS of those speech bubbles in all the designs and adhered them to my background being sure to overlap them and run them off the edge.
I have then used my Blending Brushes to colour right over the top with the Granny Apple Green and Balmy Blue.
Once this was dry – I actually sanded lightly over the top with a sanding block to distress it a little and then splattered some White Craft Ink with a water brush.
I love how the background turned out.

All of my sentiments I have heat embossed in white and die cut out. I really wanted them to ‘POP’. I have added some of the new Vellum Basics Designer Series Paper (quickly becoming addicted to this) and a tiny strip of the Gold Fine Shimmer Paper.
To add in the So Saffron, I stamped and die cut out one of the little sentiments and then added some little So Saffron hearts. I wanted the So Saffron to be a bit more of an ‘accent’. The blue and green are definitely the show stoppers on this card.

To decorate the card insert I have added a small strip of the Gold Fine Shimmer Paper and some blending with the Granny Apple Green. I added some more of the So Saffron Hearts and a gorgeous little sentiment.
I love how this card came together and it was a lot fun to play with a new bundle and a new colour combination.
Be sure to hop over to the blog and check out this week’s challenge.
Until next time.
