Stampin’ Up! – Thanks a Bunch – Sale-a-Bration

Welcome to another beautiful week, I hope you had a lovely week.
It’s sketch challenge week at Global Design Project. We have a beautiful simple sketch this week that I just loved.

I have actually been loving this layer size recently allowing a bit more of my card base to show.
When it comes to creating layers, I actually love the help of Kylie Bertucci’s Card Templates! They are fantastic for International use because they come in both metric and imperial sizes.
I use the Granny Apple Green and Daffodil Delight size layers for this card design. It’s one of my new favourite sizes.

This was also a great excuse to pull out some new Mini Catalogue and Sale-a-Bration products for a play.
I have to say the Rain or Shine Designer Series Paper is definitely a favourite of mine in the new Mini Catalogue! I love the bright colours and whimsical designs.
The oranges and pinks paired perfectly with this carrot theme Sale-a-Bration set that you can get FREE with a $90 order.

Here is a look my finished card.
These carrot themed stamps are two step stamps. I have used the same colour for both the carrots and leaves and simply stamped the Pumpkin Pie and Parakeet Party off once for the base images before going back with the detail and stamping full strength over the top.
For a fun look you can spritz the stamp with a light mist of water before stamping for a watercolour look!

I will say – that beautiful Gold Fine Shimmer Paper that is new to Mini Catalogue is my new love of the old Gold Glimmer Paper. I love it. Adding a fine strip really is beautiful!

I have embellished with some of the Pumpkin Pie thread from the Three Twine Combo Pack. I love pulling this twine apart to make it a little thinner and not so thick. It’s quite easy to seperate the stands apart if you want a thinner look.
Lastly I have added some of the In Colour Decorative Dots!

Here is a look at the inside of my card. I have stamped a smaller bunch of carrots in the same colour, a simple sentiment and some more of that gorgeous Designer Series Paper and Gold Fine Shimmer Paper.
