Stampin’ Up! Forever Fern ~ Friendship Card

Hey lovely crafty people, thanks for popping by my blog today.

Today I have come to share with you a fun card that I made while have a crafty day yesterday with my good friend Jodie. I wanted to use my favourite new bundle from the new catalogue…well favourite suite really….the Forever Greenery Suite to create this fun card.

I have changed it up a little and used a sentiment that I got from the gorgeous Peaceful Moments Stamp Set that carried over from the Mini Catalogue.

It has this beautiful friendship sentiment in it that I just adore!

Here’s a look at the finished card.

This card started off with a piece of Sahara Sand cardstock and one of the beautiful die cut pieces from the Forever Gold Laser Speciality Paper. I knew that I wanted to use this magnificent large gold fern!

I have decided to use Sahara Sand as my card base and then I have added layers of Basic Black and Sahara Sand before adding a layer of Vellum Cardstock over the top.

To ‘spruce’ up the vellum I have added some Wink of Stella spritzing which added a whole other dimension to this beautiful piece.

I have then stamped my foliage pieces from the Forever Fern Stamp Set in a mixture of; Granny Apple Green, Shaded Spruce and Coastal Cabana Stampin’ Inks. I have die cut these from the coordinating dies.

I have embellished with a gorgeous Gold Hoop. These are absolutely amazing! I have used several of these already!

I have then added some of the Forever Greenery Combo Trim Pack (I think those that read my blog regularly will have noticed that the gold trim has become a winning favourite of mine!)

I have added some Metallic Pearls in gold to embellish and I have adhered most things down with some of the Mini Glue Dots.

The sentiment is taken from the Peaceful Moments Stamp Set.

Here’s a look at the inside of the card which I have kept simple with layers of Whisper White and Basic Black and I have repeated similar stamping to the card front on the inside and added another sentiment from the Peaceful Moments Stamp Set stamped in Memento Black.
