I am so excited to bringing another week’s Global Design Project challenge.
These themed challenges are always so much fun and this week is no exception – all about bugs, butterflies and insects.
We have so many products that fit these categories/theme – or you could be creative and make your own!

Here’s a look at this week’s challenge.
You can check out the challenge and all the designer’s creations and enter here.http://www.global-design-project.com/2022/05/global-design-project-343-theme.html

Here is a look at my take on the challenge.
I had loads of fun making a starburst background with the brand new Perfectly Penciled Designer Series Paper – this background was inspired by Martin Stone who created a fantastic template to make your own starburst background. You can see it here.
I really wanted the paper to be the feature and just create a simple focal point.
I used the beautiful butterfly from the Amazing Silhouettes stamp. I love this negative effect butterfly and have stamped it in a mixture of Coastal Cabana and Bermuda Bay. So much fun!

Here’s a close up look at the finished card.
I used the new Stylish Shapes dies as a base for my butterfly and some beautiful Layering vellum. It’s not too easy to see in the picture but it has beautiful white text!
I embellished with a die cut from Gold Foil from the Forever Flourishing Dies and added a sentiment.
Some beautiful Brushed Brass Butterflies and some of the Frayed White Ribbon.
I love all the different elements and textures.

Here’s a look at the inside of the card.
Pretty simple but nice and flowing from the designs on the card front.
I hope that you got some inspiration from this week’s challenge/project.
Be sure to go and check out the challenge here.
Crafty hugs! xx

I love the sunbeam look! this is a very elegant card.
