I had the recent delight of attending an amazing event hosted by the lovely Kylie Bertucci, Bruno Bertucci, Lisa Curcio & Gina Hawley for an awesome Online Stamping Retreat.
It was a day full of amazing online fun with some awesome projects.
They have hosted two online retreats so far and I have attended both and had loads of fun.
They have another planned so be sure to go and check out the website and the Facebook page to stay up to date – because you won’t want to miss out!
You can actually still purchase the recordings and PDF’s if you check out the website link above.
I created so many projects and they were so fun and I thought I would share them all with you.
This particular project I am sharing today was an awesome mini album card demonstrated by the awesome Gina Hawley.
It looks intimidating – but once you get all that cutting done – it comes together in a breeze. What an amazing project. Gina is a rockstar!
I chose to create my mini album with the Splendid Day suite. The original mini album was created with a holiday theme but I wanted to create mine with the gorgeous Splendid Day Designer Series Paper because I just love the metallic look of these papers.
I have used the coordinating bundle to stamp and watercolour the images.
I have had a recent obsession (well not so recent – I have always loved it) with watercoloring.
I used a mixture of; Bermuda Bay, Pool Party, Parakeet Party and Granny Apple Green to watercolour my images and added the fun little bee watercolored with Mango Melody and Pumpkin Pie.
This whole project has a belly band to hold it together with a fun little circle die cut with a mixture of the Layering Circle dies and Stylish Shapes dies.
I lightly added some blending with a Blending Brush in some Pool Party ink.
Here is a close up look at the outside of my finished album where you can see some of the detail.
I actually added some of the pearlized enamel accents which I have never used before and I think I am addicted. It is gorgeous!
The album folds out into this beautiful accordion album. So many hidden pockets and fold outs.
I added more of my watercolored and die cut accents.
The Splendid Day bundle has so many beautiful coordinating dies that accent with the stamps. I die cut these in a mixture of the gold glimmer from the Glimmer Specialty Paper and some from the foils in the Splendid Day Designer Series Paper.
The mini album folds out even more into this beautiful fold where you can add some journalling or photos or even leave it blank to really let that Designer Series Paper shine.
There is also this hidden pocket. I love this!
It really leaves a beautiful space to add a hidden note to the recipient or maybe some journalling.
I plan to use my little mini album as a wedding gift/card so this is perfect.
Here is a close up look at some of my embellishing and watercoloring.
And another look at one of my accent pieces.
The sentiments in the Splendid Day bundle lend themselves perfectly to a wedding card.
I had so much fun playing along with this class in the Online Stamping Retreat.
A big thank you to Gina for such an amazing class.
Be sure to check out the links above to join in on the next retreat. It really was amazing!
I have linked all the supplies I have used below.
Until next time.
Crafty hugs. xx
