Let’s have a look at todays’ fun project…

I chose to feature a fabulous Sale-a-Bration product – the Awesome Otters Stamp set.
This one is so fun to play with, with so many possibilities.
For this month’s tutorial at Stamping Society I chose to really featuring some colouring techniques with both Blending Brushes, masking and Stampin’ Blends.
It’s so easy to create this fun masked background with some Layering Circles dies, a piece of cardstock and some Blending Brushes.
I chose to combine some blues – which is my go to favourite.
Here is a look at the colours I have chosen to blend in my ‘little circle’
I chose to keep my colours pretty neutral with only Basic Black, Basic White and Bermuda Bay cardstock as I really wanted the feature to be on the blended circle in the middle.

Here’s a close up of the finished card where you can see some of the detail and the beautiful blending.
For my stamped otter, I have stamped in Memento Black and coloured the otter in with some Soft Suede Stampin’ Blends and then coloured the ‘tummy’ with Crumb Cake Stampin’ Blends.
I added a touch of Basic Black Stampin’ Blends to his nose and eyes.
To embellish I have added a bow from White Baker’s Twine and some beautiful sequins.

Here’s a look at the inside of the card which I kept really simple with an otter stamped in Memento Black and a touch of blending with some Pacific Point and a Blending Brush.

Do you want to see an alternative?
This is the same design/idea but instead of using the ‘frame’ with the circle cut out of the middle, use a circle cut out and use washi tape on the back to temporarily hold it in place. Use Blending Brushes to colour all around the Basic White layer.
This then gives you a ‘white circle’ in the middle as your focal point.
You can see the video here to show how to make this whole project….
