Thanks so much for dropping by my blog today!
I am excited to be sharing a fun set of cards/tutorial using a fun layering technique with inks!
This is for the fun Global Stampin’ Video Hop…

This is such a fun hop with a load of demonstrators from around the world. It’s a video hop so you can follow the videos and hop along to check out a huge load of content with themed content each month.
This month it’s all about the layering – and I’m showing some fun ink layering/blending techniques…

Here’s a look at my finished card.
I was inspired to create a fun layered background with blue/green inks for an ‘ocean’ look. See below for another take on this.
This technique is quite easy and I have used this with an heat resist technique by heat embossing my wave with white embossing ink. So much fun!
The fun background was completed with some splatters of white ink. This is such a fun technique – be sure to check out the video to see how!

Here is a close up look at the finished card where you can see all the detail.
I have embossed the palms in copper on black cardstock. I love how these ‘pop’ on the black cardstock.
I have completed the card with some gorgeous sequins and a sentiment from the Waves of Inspiration Stamp Set.

Here is a look at the inside of the card where I have stamped some more palms in Memento Black and added some more layered colour to replicate the card front.

I wanted to show you an alternative to my original card with a different colour combination of oranges/pinks. I have used Mango Melody, Daffodil Delight, Flirty Flamingo and Polished Pink. SO much fun!

Another thing that I did different on this card was changing up the colour of the palm trees. This time I have heat embossed them in gold for a different look.

Here’s a look at the inside of my second card, which I have kept exactly the same but in a different colour combination.
I hope that you enjoyed seeing my cards today and learnt some tips for creating this fun ink layering.
Be sure to check out the video.
Big crafty hugs! xx
