Happy Monday everyone and welcome to another brand new GDP challenge.
It feels like it’s been all about seasons lately as we are all in the change of season. Here we are into Spring and over the other side of the world – it’s fall/Autumn.
I have to admit though – Autumn is my favourite – it’s something about the climate – the colours. It’s just beautiful !
What a gorgeous challenge!
Head over to the blog to check out the rest of the team’s gorgeous projects and give this week’s challenge a go.
I really wanted to have a play with this gorgeous bundle from the Annual Catalogue that I hadn’t had a chance to ink up yet.
Isn’t it just gorgeous?
You can purchase it in my store here.
Here is a look at my finished card for this challenge.
I had so much fun playing with the colour palette for this challenge and really layering my dies.
There is a gorgeous big layered vine/leaf die in this bundle and that formed my background. It’s easiest to add an adhesive sheet when cutting this intricate die especially when doing a blending technique as you want it all adhered nicely and no dried glue!
Here’s the colour palette I have worked with:
My background is a mixture of blended inks in Pumpkin Pie, Calypso Coral and Pale Papaya. I have deliberately left the centre very light.
Here is a close up look at my finished card.
I really layered this tree with a mixture of the stamps which have been die cut with the corresponding dies and some of the die cuts which have been coloured with Sponge Daubers in a mixture of Daffodil Delight, Calypso Coral and Pumpkin Pie.
To get the variated stamping I have inked up my tree stamp first in Daffodil Delight and then used a Sponge Dauber to add little sections of; Calypso Coral, Mango Melody and finally Pumpkin Pie before stamping down.
It was so much fun to play with all these beautiful Autumn colours.
For my sentiment I have taken my words from the gorgeous Wisteria Wishes stamp set and heat embossed in white on Early Espresso cardstock.
Here is a quick look at the inside of my card where I have added some more colour with a Blending Brush and some additional stamping.
I just loved playing along with this week’s challenge.
Be sure to drop along and play along with this week’s challenge too!
Until next time,
Crafty hugs! xx
