Happy Spring to everyone over in my part of the world. It’s funny because as you read today’s post which has an Autumnal feel – it’s not very reminiscent of ‘spring’.
I just couldn’t help myself!
This month the Stamping Society team are featuring seasonal projects and my favourite season of all time is actually Autumn so I just had to use one of the new bundles to my stash – Fond of Autumn. I wanted to bring out these beautiful Autumn colours and play with some fun watercolour techniques.

Let’s have a look at todays’ fun project…
I had so much fun with the project this month. I was really inspired by the large floral arrangement from the Fond of Autumn Stamp Set and I really wanted to play with some watercolour. I decided to heat emboss on some Fluid 100 Watercolour Paper. This makes it so much easy to watercolour as it helps create a ‘wall’ to make it easier to stay in the lines. I used Copper embossing powder to add a little bit to the fall theme.
I have broken out some beautiful reds/oranges/yellows to play with some fall colours.
Here’s a little look a little bit of my colour palette…
Here is a close up look at my finished card.
I have pulled out a colour that I do not use very often and that is Very Vanilla. I loved the brown/creamy tones with the Autumnal colours. I used a Blending Brush with some Crumb cake to soften and age the edges.
I have then added some strips of the beautiful Brushed Metallic Cardstock in the darkest colour to the middle in varying widths for some added interest.

I loved playing with these products.
Here is a little look at the inside of the finished card.
It wouldn’t be a fun card without a fun inside.
I have replicated a bit of the outside into the inside with some more stamping in Crushed Curry, a little sentiment and some more of that gorgeous Brushed Metallic Cardstock.
I had so much fun playing with this seasonal theme.
