Still Scenes ~ Christmas Card

Hello lovely blog readers and thank you so much for stopping by my blog today.

I have another fun card to share with you today featuring there beautiful Still Scenes bundle.

I just fell in love with this bundle when I saw it and had so much fun creating various cards with it, however this quickly became one of my favourites, because of those cute little polar bears!

Here are the steps I have used to create this card:

Step 1: I have cut a standard sized card base that is top folding from Pretty Peacock.

Step 2: I then cut a card layer from Whisper White 1/8” smaller than the card base.

Step 3: I have cut a card layer from the Basic Black 1/8” smaller than the Whisper White. Before adhering this Basic Black layer, I have taken the Still Scenes dies and taken that gorgeous snow globe, cutting this through the black. I then took one of the snow globes and took the adhesive off one side, placing it through the black piece that has been die cut. I cut a piece of the Brightly Gleaming DSP to 3×3” and set this aside.

Step 4: I now took the polar bear dies and die cut these from Sparkle Glimmer paper and cut a set of trees from Old Olive cardstock.

Step 5: Taking my 3×3” piece of Bright Gleaming paper, I have laid this down and placed my trees down using the snow globe as a gauge of where to place them with Stampin’ Dimensionals. I then placed the polar bears on top of the trees with Stampin’ Dimensionals also. I have then very carefully added some Ice Stampin’ Glitter and some Snowflake sequins to the centre of this arrangement. Then taking the previously die cut Basic Black piece, I have removed the adhesive from the back of the snow globe and placed this over the top of this arrangement, being careful that at this stage the glitter and sequins are contained to the middle, so as not to interfere with the adhesive.

Step 6: I now adhered the Basic Black piece with snow globe to my piece of Whisper White and then adhered this to the Pretty Peacock card base.

Step 7: Taking a piece of Copper Foil, I have now stamped the snow globe base in Versamark and heat embossed this with Copper Embossing Powder. I have die cut this using the coordinating die. Before adhering this down, I have wrapped some Linen Thread around the base two times and tied a bow before adhering below the snow globe with Stampin’ Dimensionals.

Step 8: I stamped the large sentiment on a scrap of Whisper White with Pretty Peacock ink, and only cut the word ‘Christmas’ with scissors and set this aside.

Step 9: I have now cut the word ‘wishes’ from a scrap of Pretty Peacock cardstock from the Well Written dies and adhered this with liquid glue to the base of the snow globe. I then added the word ‘Christmas’ with mini Stampin’ Dimensionals on an angle above this.

Step 10: To add some shine, I have added some blue Noble Peacock Rhinestones around the sentiment as pictured.

Step 11. To finish, I have added some spritzes of Wink of Stella to add some more shimmer and shine!

Here you can see a close up of the finished card and all the fun that I had.

I just love the snow globe based heat embossed and die cut. It added such a fun element and it’s so fun to heat emboss on foil!

I had to decorate the inside, so I have added a layer of Basic Black and Whisper White and then simply added the large sentiment (that we cut earlier) in Pretty Peacock.

A fun Christmas card done.
