I am back with a brand new blog post featuring a birthday card that I made for my son who I can’t believe is turning FOUR tomorrow.
Where have those years gone?
I remember just yesterday it seems like he was born!
I wanted to make something colourful, fun but simple and think I managed to pull that off.
I used quite a mixture of stamps sets. I was originally inspired by the really fun graphic circle from the Yay You stamp set which is one of our brand new hostess sets in the Occasions Catalogue that you can earn if you spend or host a party over $250.

Here is the card that I made for Elijah…
I have used this colour combo once before and fell a bit in love with it.
It’s Lemon Lime Twist, Bermuda Bay and Tangerine Tango. I also threw in some Daffodil Delight accents. I think it really goes well with this boyish youthful card.
I will definitely be using this colour combo again for sure.
I used the fun dinosaur from the Pieces & Patterns stamp set as my accent image and coloured it with the Pumpkin Pie Stampin’ Blends. I love the definition that it gives the images by shading.
I added Elijah’s age with the Number of Year Bundle and cut it out on my BigShot.
Of course I had to decorate the inside of my card so I simply replicated some of the designs from the front of the card in the coordinating colours on some white cardstock.
I also got to decorating the envelope. I love the Whisper White C6 envelopes and always like to make a matching envelope to go with every card I make.
I stamped the outside/front and added some Designer Series Paper to the envelope flap.
