Birthday Bonanza Suite ~ Koala - Celebrate You Card - Kayla Renee, Stampin' Up! Demonstrator

Today I am sharing a super fun and cut card perfect for the young and the old using the gorgeous Bonanza Buddies Suite of products from the Mini Catalogue.

Here’s a look at the completed card which was actually a design that I was inspired to create after seeing one of the samples shown in the Mini Catalogue. This is called CASE’ing (copying and selectively editing). The Stampin’ Up! catalogues, whilst they are catalogues are also a great idea book and source of inspiration!

I really wanted to focus to be on these super fun party koalas and all a fun celebration!
I have made this card about ‘celebrating you’ and really this is a pretty universal sentiment that could be used for a huge variety of things.

Here are the basic steps I have used to complete today’s project:

Cut a card base from Whisper White to your standard card base. I have created a side top folding landscape card.
Cut a layer of Basic Black Cardstock to 10cm x 14.4cm. Set aside.
Cut a layer of the Birthday Bonanza Designer Series Paper to 9.7cm x 14.1cm. Adhere this to your Basic Black layer and then adhere this to the card front with your choice of adhesive.
With your die cutting machine, die cut three rectangles from the Stitched Rectangles Dies from Bermuda Bay. I have used a size, small enough to fit three across length ways. I have then adhered these to the card with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
Die cut two of the banners from the Bonanza Buddies dies with Gold Foil and adhere with Glue Dots where shown. While you are die cutting, cut three party harts. One in Grapefruit Grove, Coastal Cabana and Melody. Set these aside.
Taking the Bonanza Buddies Stamp Set, stamp your koalas using a mixture of Smoky Slate and Memento Black Inks. Use the coordinating dies to die cut these out. Adhere to the card with Stampin’ Dimensionals where shown.
I have then taken the die cut party hats, and stamped them with the ‘starburst’ stamp in the coordinating colour to the party hat. I have then adhered these to the koala’s head with Stampin’ Dimensionals. To finish the koalas off, I have added one of the Assorted Pom Poms that coordinate with the suite with a Glue Dot.
I have then stamped the ‘Celebrate You’ sentiment on a scrap piece of Basic Black cardstock and trimmed this with the paper trimmer. I have flagged the end of the sentiment with paper snips and adhered to the card where shown.
To finish the card I have tied some bows with the Metallic Baker’s Twine in Bermuda Bay and adhered where shown in three places with Glue Dots. I have then added some of the sequins that also come with the twine from Sale-a-Bration where shown with some Liquid Glue. I find the Take Your Pick Tool VERY handy when handling sequins!
Decorate the inside layer of your card if you wish.
