Timeless Tropical Bundle ~ Our Friendship is Timeless

Hello everyone and happy Sunday!

Welcome back to my little blog where I wanted to come by and share a card with you that I made recently using the Timeless Tropical Bundle from the Mini Catalogue.

I was really inspired to make a card and keep it pretty simple, focusing on that gorgeous Hibiscus flower stamp in all it’s glory.

This stamp set really does have some beautiful images that are just perfect for colouring.

Here’s a look at the completed card.

I have pulled in the Tropical Oasis Designer Series Paper and used one of the reverse sides for a bit of a more subtle background. I love Designer Series Paper for this, as it has such beautiful designs – that you really do not need to add much else!

I have stamped the beautiful leaves and flower and coloured them with a mixture of; Granny Apple Green, Flirty Flamingo, Calypso Coral and Lovely Lipstick Stampin’ Blends. I also added a bit of Dark Pineapple Punch to the centre stamen.

I have embellished with one of the Best Dressed Tassels and some of the Happiness Blooms Enamel Dots.

Here’s some basic steps to complete the card:

Cut a card base from Basic Black to your standard card base. I have created a top folding card.
Cut a Granny Apple Green layer to 10cm x 14.4cm.
Cut a layer of the Tropical Oasis Designer Series Paper to 9.7cm x 14.1cm. Adhere this to your layer of Granny Apple Green and then adhere these layers to your card with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
On a scrap piece of Thick Whisper White Cardstock, stamp three leaves and one hibiscus flower. Using your Stampin’ Blends in Granny Apple Green, Flirty Flamingo, Calypso Coral, Lovely Lipstick and Dark Pineapple Punch. Colour these pieces. Set aside.
Cut the largest circle from the Stitched Shapes Dies from Thick Whisper White Cardstock. Cut the largest scallop circle from the Layering Circles Dies in Gold Glimmer. Adhere these together with Glue Dots. Adhere to the card where shown with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
Adhere the hibiscus flower where shown with Stampin’ Dimensionals and then use your choice of adhesive to tuck the coloured leaves in where shown.
Stamp the sentiment ‘Our Friendship is Timeless’ in versamark ink on some Flirty Flamingo cardstock and heat emboss with black embossing powder. Adhere where shown with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
Take one of the Best Dressed Tassels in pink and tie a bow with Linen Thread around the loop of this tassel. Adhere just underneath the sentiment with Glue Dots.
Add some spritzes of Wink of Stella if you wish over the card.
Add one of the pineapple Tropical Oasis Trinkets with a Glue Dot.
Embellish with some of the Calypso Coral Enamel Dots.
Decorate the inside of your card if you wish. Picture for inspiration below.

Here’s a close up of the finished card where you can see all the detail, layers and texture.

I just love making friendship cards, as they are probably the ones I used the most when I am sending out RAK cards or giving card ‘just because’.

I loved bringing in the mixture of different embellishments from different suites to combine them all together.

I will admit, that those tassels have been a much used embellishment across a variety of projects for me. I just love them!

Here’s a look at the completed inside of my card where I also cut and coloured a frangipani image from the Timeless Tropical stamp set and coloured with a mixture of Daffodil Delight and So Saffron Stampin’ Blends and also add a die cut leaf, cut from Granny Apple Green Cardstock.
