I recently went live over on my Facebook page to make these fun cards using the Butterfly Wishes stamp set that is one of our brand new Distinktive Stamp sets from the new Annual Catalogue.
I wasn’t really sure where to start with this set, so something that I do is CASE the catalogue to get started and that is what happened here.
I case’d the card on the left and then had a play and made my own further two designs.
CASE’ing is a really great way to kick of creativity!
Here you can see the set of three cards that I created…
I still can’t really decide which is my favourite. I really loved playing with the Perennial Essence Designer Series Paper though and you can see all the supplies I have used linked down below this post. I also had a play and used the gorgeous and fun Perennial Essence Vellum Cardstock. I love that for punching leaves and subtle elements for the card.
Do you want to see how I made these cards?
I have uploaded my video to YouTube and you can see it here….
This is a close up of what I think is my personal favourite of the cards.
I pulled in the Butterfly Duet Punch which does coordinate with this stamp set and used one of the Bird Ballad Trinkets with some of those gorgeous new In Color Faceted Dots in my favourite…PRETTY PEACOCK!
This is the card that I made first and CASE’d from the catalogue. I didn’t have the ribbon they used on their card however, so I substituted this for the Whisper White Polka Dot Tulle, which is one of my go to ribbons, it matches almost anything!
I must admit, making this card, got me to pull out those Metallic Pearls. I don’t use those enough!
My last card was inspired by a card I stumbled across on the web, and I’m not sure where. They had stamped the butterfly and branches in just black and it really made them stand out.
Then they were able to add the smallest bit of colour. So here I went with that theory, and I’m happy with how it turned out.
I hope you liked a look a three cards I made using the fabulous new Butterfly Wishes Stamp Set.
This is now available to order as the new catalogue has gone LIVE!
