From My Heart Suite ~ Hello Friend Card

Hello lovely blog reader and welcome back.

Thank goodness it’s Friday…I’ll say that but I am about to go into my weekend of working, but I will wish you all a happy crafting weekend!

I hope that you get some time to craft, because let’s face it – now is the best time for it, with us all snuggled up spending lots of time at home with the crazy-ness the world is in.

Today I have a fun card to share with you using the beautiful From My Heart suite.

This suite was aimed for Valentines Day and those lovey-dovey themed cards, however with products such as those GORGEOUS Designer Series Paper, Doilies and beautiful faceted gems…you can make so many different themed cards.

Today I have a friendship card to share with you all, as I have combined these beautiful products with the gorgeous ‘Hello Friend’ Sentiment stamp from the So Sentimental Stamp Set.

Here’s a look at the beautiful finished card.

To achieve this card I have followed these basic steps:

Cut a card base from Basic Black Cardstock to a top folding card.
Cut a layer of Thick Whisper White Cardstock to 10cm x 14.4cm. Set aside.
Cut a piece of From My Heart Designer Series Paper to 9.7cm x 14.1cm. Adhere this to your layer of Whisper White and then adhere this to your black card base.
Cut the largest scalloped rectangle from the Stitched So Sweetly dies from Basic Black Cardstock and adhere this the middle of the card front as shown. Spritz the card with Clear Wink of Stella.
Adhere one of the beautiful Heart Doilies using Liquid Glue where shown.
On a scrap piece of Whisper White Cardstock stamp the ‘Hello Friend’ sentiment from the So Sentimental Stamp Set in Coastal Cabana Ink. Fussy cut this out. Set aside.
Cut a length of the Real Red Double Stitched Ribbon long enough to ‘zig zag’ three times underneath the sentiment (roughly 30cm) and add some adhesive like Snail and ‘zig zag’ this down.
Cut a label out from Gold Glimmer using the Classic Label Punch. Adhere this with Glue Dots or Liquid Glue where shown. Adhere the sentiment with Stampin’ Dimensionals to the card, over the ribbon where shown.
Decorate using a Best Dressed Tassel in Petal Pink with a Glue Dot, underneath the sentiment slightly where shown. Adhere some From my Heart Faceted Gems with Liquid Glue.
Decorate the inside layers of the card if you wish to. I have used some stamps from the coordinating stamp set and stamped in Coastal Cabana and Flirty Flamingo.

Here’s a look at the inside of my card which I have kept pretty simple with layers of Lovely Lipstick and Thick Whisper White Cardstock.

I have stamped a sentiment in Coastal Cabana and added some hearts with Flirty Flamingo Ink.
