Hi everyone and welcome back to my blog.
Today I am sharing some projects that I was lucky enough to be able to make for theScrapbooks & Cards Today blog.
I deciding when planning my post that I really wanted to feature the Myths & Magic suite of products as I just loved it so much!
I run a regular catalogue launch/bingo event for my customers and I decided these would be the cards we will make at our event as well as getting one of the treat bags full of yummies!
I have featured a card with most of the icons included in the bundle.

The unicorn is possibly my FAVOURITE. I have a bit of a love affair for unicorns long before they were even popular. How cool is the matching sentiment ‘Hope your day is magical?’ I just love it.
The matching Designer Series Paper in this suite is to die for and the best bit is that it is all glittered!
I love speciality paper! I decided to stick with a colour combination of Soft Sky, Lemon Lime Twist, Silver, Black and a featured DSP for each card and treat bag.
The mermaid would have to be my second favourite. I love mythical creatures. They are so mysterious *wink*
I loved pulling out the Ombre ribbon for this set of cards as it ties such lovely bows!
Every time I look at the wizard I think of my good friend Jodie.
She LOVES wizards so I thought this would be pretty appropriate for her. It works so well with that beautiful Fresh Fig Designer Series Paper.
I also enjoyed using the Ticket Tear border punch to create a nice edging between the DSP and the Lemon Lime Twist Cardstock.
Lastly, this is a card that my four year old son would love!
He loves all things dragons and anything that is big and scary!
There are so many different ways you could colour this gorgeous dragon.
Here’s a look at how I have coloured the images with the watercolour pencils, so you can see close up how I went about colouring for a nice watercolored and blended look.
I coloured darkly around the edges with my chosen colour and then lightly pulled the colour in with a Blender Pen.
I love using the Blender Pen because it doesn’t apply too much moisture to the paper which will tear apart the fibres easily.
Here’s a close up of the coloured unicorn.
I then added a layer of Clear Wink of Stella for that nice ‘Unicorn’ look.
Every Unicorn needs a bit of sparkle!
