What a week! WOW! Today is the final day of both Sale-a-Bration and my five day video series featuring the gorgeous products from this promotion. You can see day one here, day two here, day three here & finally day four here.
The Sale-a-Bration products are all able to be earned for FREE with a $100 AUD order in my online store. On today’s project I am sharing the super fun Fruit Salad Designer Series Paper from the Sale-a-Bration goodies as well as the Purple Adhesive Backed Sequins.
I also snuck a special pre-order product in that will be available next week! The Painted Stripes Cling Stamp Set makes a fun, bold and easy background that you can make in seconds! Combined with the Mini Alpha Dies I was able to make these cute & quirky fruit pun cards that are just a little bit different!
I love that by using an easy die set – you can come up with any sentiment (or in this case pun!) that you like. I am sure I could think of many more and in my efforts I had to restrain myself after making five – they are pretty addictive.
the finished mini alpha pun cards

Here is a look at my finished Mini Alpha ‘punny cards’
I made these cards similar to how I made my Onstage Swap cards that I finished last week. You can see that post here. I knew that I wanted the card design to be the same and so I worked on my elements in ‘batches’. First I decided on the fruits I was going to include and then colour matched a background which I have then stamped using the Painted Stripes background stamp.
This made it easy for me then to fussy cut and add all my elements in stages.
a close up look at punny cards!

You can see here that the sentiments/puns have some fun height & dimension.
The Foam Adhesive Sheets are fantastic for adding dimension particularly on small pieces that would not work well with with individual Stampin’ Dimensionals.
Using the Mini Alpha Dies – I have cut out my puns from some Foam Adhesive Sheet and Basic Black cardstock.
Even better – this means that they become self adhesive foam letters – how cool is that!
See the video where I have shown some tips for how I cut them out for some savvy cost saving!
I wanted to add a stamped ‘You’re’ to some of the cards and so I find an appropriate sentiment that included this from the For The Books Stamp and simply cut this individual word away from the sentiment to be used after I had heat embossed it in black.
a close up look at the insides – can’t leave a blank inside

I just had to add a pretty inside – and there was no better way to use up and feature some more of the Fruit Salad 6×6 Designer Series Paper than to add a strip and some more of those gorgeous fussy cut fruits.
If you noticed the cute little flowers featured on this card I have taken them from the Happy Hibiscus dies and cut them from the Fruit Salad Paper as an additional accent.
I hope that you enjoyed seeing this project. Be sure to check out all the resources including PDF and the video tutorial below. I would love to see what you make! Be sure to jump over & join my FREE VIP group to share with me what you have been making. xx
