Hello and welcome back to my little blog today.
Today I am excited to be sharing with you a card that I made recently using a beautiful stamp set from the Mini Catalogue – Morning Star!
This stamp set really excited me, because it coordinates perfectly with our Stitched Stars dies that carried over from the Holiday Catalogue.
Did you know that we regularly have product carry over, that may not appear in a catalogue but is still definitely available to purchase through my online store?
I was really inspired by a colour combination I found when I was making this card, and it’s still growing on me – but it was nice to try something different.
I find this a really good thing to do when I am perhaps feeling that I am a bit stuck in a creative rut. At the moment we have just said goodbye to Sale-a-Bration and I wanted to focus on the Mini Catalogue products before they are gone – so giving myself a colour challenge was a great idea!
Here’s a look at the finished card where you can see the whole card layout and all the bits and bobs.
As you can see I have used those beautiful Stitched Stars dies. They just add so much detail and a beautiful touch to your handmade cards!
I have mounted the whole card front onto Stampin’ Dimensionals for some extra dimension and texture and then I have kept my whole focal point to the bottom left of the card, so that your eye is drawn primarily to that point.

I have pulled in one of the beautiful Follow Your Art felt stars from the embellishment kit, as it fit so perfectly being Crushed Curry!
I just LOVE LOVE LOVE the Sahara Sand Woven Threads Trim that you can see I have added beneath the sentiment. I honestly will cry a lot when that retires. It is so beautiful!
Here’s a look at the finished inside of the card which I have kept very simple with layers of Basic Black and Whisper White with some simple stamping.
