Happy Sunday lovely crafty souls!
I hope you have been having a delightful weekend with some relaxation, sunshine and hopefully some crafty, whether that be sitting crafting in your craft zone – or gathering crafty inspiration!
Today I am really excited to be bringing you a card that I made a little while ago using the beautiful Friends are like Seashells bundle.
I was really inspired to use this gorgeous bundle after seeing my gorgeous friend and Artisan Design Team member Tania Tobin use it at a Stampin’ Up! conference.
It is a stunning bundle and I am so thrilled that it will be carrying over to the brand new Annual Catalogue. Yippee!
I really wanted to use some soft tones, combined with some brighter and more bold colours! I shy away some Petal Pink and Calypso Coral and they aren’t in my ‘go to’ colours – so I dove in and used them on this card and so pleased I did!
Be sure to check below for a full supply list of all the products I have used, all of which are available in my store here.
Here’s a look at the finished card.
The thing that struck me about this gorgeous bundle is that it was part of a suite and it comes with a gorgeous coordinating embossing folder that actually coordinates with the die! How cool is that?
That is what inspired this whole card! I really wanted to use the texture from the embossing folder and just let that create the whole background! When you have all these coordinating products – it takes the thinking out of it for you and makes the whole creative process so much easier!
I have then repeatedly stamped a sentiment over the background on Petal Pink Cardstock in some Calypso Coral ink. This is a great way to set a ‘theme’ using a sentiment but also to create your own Designer Series Paper. I love how this turned out.
I layered this over some Basic White that I had also repeatedly stamped a textured image over with some Mango Melody Ink. I then laid my embossed shells over the top.
This really ‘formed’ the base of my card.
Here’s a close up of the finished card where you can see I have just then stamped a few of the shells in a mixture of Mango Melody, Poppy Parade, Calypso Coral and Granny Apple Green Ink and have used some of the coordinating dies to help cut these out.
I then heat embossed a sentiment in white onto some Basic Black Cardstock and trimmed this down and added some twine from the Flowering Cactus Product Medley.
Some Wink of Stella Spritzing for some sparkle and shine and it was finished!
Here’s a look at the inside of my card which I have kept simple with layers of Petal Pink and Basic White with some stamping and a sentiment.
I have then accented with a strip of Petal Pink cardstock and some more twine.
I hope you got some inspiration from today’s card share.
I really enjoy sharing my love of creativity with you all.
The gift of sharing is my passion and I love what I do and love sharing what I love.
Many crafty hugs to you all!
