Hello lovely readers.
Today it’s a lovely Wednesday – happy hump day!
I am here and still enjoying some sunshine – it’s winter but a lovely cool sunshine up North.
Today I am popping by to share a fun card using the fabulous To The Moon Stamp Set and the FABULOUS Give It a Whirl Dies. These dies caught my eye as soon as the Annual Catalogue was released. They are a die that allows you to make a fabulous interactive spinning card. HOW COOL IS THAT?
They are actually a bit of a hidden gem in the catalogue as they do not necessarily coordinate with any particular stamp set and are a stand alone die, but that is what is so fabulous! They coordinate with anything!!
I actually made TEN of this card – yep TEN! This was for part of a swap that I took part in for the Crazy Crafters team that I am part of. I can’t wait until the recipients receive these. See the bottom of this post for a full list of the supplies I have used and also a link to the video where you can see a recording of how I put these fun cards together.
Here’s a look at my fun card.
You can see I have used the gorgeous dies with those fun clouds and stars. That is what inspired me to actually coordinate this with the To The Moon stamp set.
I was just so inspired.
I also used another one of my favourite things – the Gold Metallic Specialty Paper! LOVE! I always talk about it – but it’s definitely one of my favourite things.
I also decided to do something on this card that I haven’t been doing for a while and that is use my Misty Moonlight Stampin’ Write Marker to spritz over the background over my card. I find that sometimes I forget about this fabulous technique! It’s a great way to add some fun texture and colour to a card.
I have included some close up pictures below so you can see the fun spinning wheel and the images I have included behind.
Here’s the first close up. You can see that the dies include a ‘wedge’ that you can cut out and let you ‘see behind’ through to the spinning wheel and to the images you have stamped below. I just LOVE this.
I have used the images from the ‘To The Moon’ Stamp Set. I have chosen to stamp in a mixture of yellows, Misty Moonlight, Memento and heat embossing in Gold.
The card base is Night of Navy and I have chosen to combine this with some Misty Moonlight, Gold and pops of Coastal Cabana.
Another close up where you can see the fun sentiment which I have chosen the “Always Reach For The Stars” – I just love this sentiment and I have chosen to keep it simple – stamped in Memento Black.
Another ‘wedge’ section I have used one of the moon images (which I have actually masked to get a single moon) – watch the video for a tip to see how I did this and stamped in Misty Moonlight. I then stamped a constellation in Versamark and heat embossed in gold.
Here’s a look at the inside of the card which I have kept simple with layers of Basic Black and Basic White some Gold Foil, Linen Thread and the phases of the moon stamped in Misty Moonlight.
Here’s a video showing how I put this card together…
I hope that you got some fun inspiration today from a fun interaction card using some fabulous new products.
I hope that you have a lovely hump day Wednesday and get some crafty time or some inspiration.
Big crafty hugs! xx
